2nd stay with more family members and just as great!

We've stayed twice now at 3703 and we couldn't be happier (multiple stays at Kanaloa). We brought a couple of extra family members, for a total of five (5) guests, including teenagers. The teens used the upstairs loft as their private/quiet space - they loved it. We love the view of the ocean from the Lanai, whether its our morning coffee or a dinner we just made on one of the many BBQs, this place is our new go to spot whenever we visit the Big Island. The facilities and nearby attractions are abundant - from tennis to pools on the property to short walks along a semi-private bay or to the nearby night manta dive (a must), this spot has it all. The management company is super responsive too. If I was to make one suggestion: add a "late drop" basket outside the front door on the day of departure for extended use of beach towels on the day of check-out. Most flights for the mainland depart after 3pm, so with an 11 am local checkout, there's a lot of beach day to be had and making beach towels available for those extra few hours is a huge plus! Mahalo to Toni, Phil, and the whole team for contributing to lasting memories! less

Great Spot!

Our family had a super time staying at Phil and Toni's condo. There were 5 of us (3 adults, 2 kids) and the setup - large master bedroom, good sized second bedroom and loft with two twins beds for the kids - was great. The deck area with the view of the water and sound of waves can't be beat (as is more impressive in person than the photos make out). The condo was well stocked and we enjoyed using the pools and tennis courts. Was really nice to have a grocery store/restaurants just up the hill and we did a manta ray snorkel that we could just walk to. We did fine without the air conditioning, but it did involve strategic closing of blinds and using the fans. A couple minor notes: since windows are generally open w/o A/C, we were awakened a few mornings by the family below with their excited toddlers zooming around at 7am. Annoying, but not a huge deal. Speaking of noise, we read that quiet hours were from 10pm-7am in Kanaloa. Which was totally fine. One evening, we were at the pool around 8:30pm and our kids were laughing and splashing. The guard came to shush us - turns out the pool quiet hours begin at 7pm. Which seemed ridiculously early. But I guess noise travels there. :) We were surprised overall how quiet Kanaloa was and how relatively uncrowded the pools were, which was nice. All that said, highly recommend the condo. We went with other friends who stayed at less expensive units facing the golf course. They were drooling over our larger unit with the view. One other tip -- before you rent any snorkel or beach gear, check the closest in the deck area. Turns out they had a bunch of snorkel sets, chairs, etc. Thanks Phil and Toni! less

A Wonderful Oasid

Our stay at Konaloa was a pleasant retreat from the cold and dreary days back home. We were in Hawaii for a special celebration with family and friends, our condo was close to everyone. We felt right at home in our condo. The view was beautiful and the sounds of the ocean were so peaceful. We enjoyed cooking a few meals and the kitchen was more than adequately suited to the task. The nearby pools were really a nice place to swim and meet up with our friends. The ocean pool is the perfect place to watch the sunset. We would whole heartily recommend this beautiful unit to anyone visiting Kona. Our place was beautifully furnished and decorated. Sitting on the lanai, and watching the surfers made it hard to want to leave. less

Awesome condo, very spacious. Loved the lanai with gorgeous view. Well equipped with snorkeling gear. Would gladly return and highly recommend the accommodations.

Gorgeous Condo with an Incredible View

I loved this condo! It is very prettily done, tasteful Hawaiana, not kitschy. The kitchen cabinets are beautiful and are used again in the bathrooms. It is obviously someone's home. The lanai with its view of the little cove is fantastic. We watched the lights out in front of the Outrigger from the Manta Ray snorkelers every night. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen the most well stocked I have ever experienced in a rental. Everything you could possibly need. The location is great and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again! less

Owner/Manager Response

Thank you Janet! We’re so glad you enjoyed sharing our home. We try to make it as comfortable for our vacationing guests as they would would be in their own home, so they can just relax and enjoy our beautiful area.

Excellent Stay for Ironman!

We rented this condo as a "home base" for our staff while covering the Ironman World Championships. It was perfectly located - just outside of the chaos of Ali'i Drive but not so far away that driving into town was a hassle. The condo itself is spacious and comfortable, and the hosts are supremely nice! Wifi is fast (a must for our crew) and the patio was an excellent place to work and/or kick back with a beer after work. We'll be back. less

Lovely condo

Great condo with a lovely view. Plenty of room for the family, and the large kitchen was stocked with basic non-perishables, and lots of cooking equipment. The staff at Kanaloa are super friendly, and check in/out was a breeze. The location was nice, and you can snorkle at the little cove in the photos. There are boogie boards and water shoes in the storage on the lanai. There are 3 gas grills on the property (2 by the pools). Ping pong and tennis equipment is available at the front office. The resort is quiet, and well maintained. At night you can watch the manta ray dive outfits shine their lights in water. Go over to the Outrigger to watch close up for free (where you can actually see the mantas). less

We found the unit very comfortable and well-equipped. The view from the lanai was relaxing. We would highly recommend this condo to our friends and family.

Beautiful, comfortable condo!

This condo is wonderful! Very clean, quiet, and had many extras not provided in other rentals including soap, shampoo, etc. The view from the lanai is great, we enjoyed watching surfers. The pools were also very nice. I would definitely stay here again, nothing negative!

— Kimberly, Stayed 01/23/2022

Beautiful, well stocked condo

We were a group of 2 couples who stayed for 10 days. From the beginning, we were impressed by the kitchen, which was stocked with everything one could possibly need to prepare simple meals, including a coffee grinder and a hot water boiler for this coffee fanatic. (It also had a drip coffeemaker). The view from the kitchen and lanai was amazing—it faced southeast, so we weren’t faced with blinding, hot sun in the afternoons, but could enjoy the breeze from the water. We didn’t need A/C during our entire stay—just used fans, and closed blinds at strategic times to keep comfortable. The beds were very comfortable—we slept like babies after a full day of hiking, snorkeling, and/or touring. The master shower was especially appreciated—excellent water pressure from the rain shower head—heaven. The location was excellent—we could drive or easily walk 1/2 mile to the shopping center for groceries, restaurants, and drugstore, as well as the nearby Outrigger (formerly the Sheraton) hotel, where tour boats filled with manta ray tourists would gather. The manager was promptly responsive to any concern we had. I would highly recommend staying at this unit—we have no complaints at all, and had a wonderful comfortable stay. less

Awesome Place

The condo is extremely spacious throughout. Very clean and updated nicely. We really enjoyed the views from the large lanai during morning coffee and evening cocktails. Pool area and grounds are beautiful and well kept. I've rented condos and cottages for years and Phil and Toni have provided the best accessories and condiments that I have ever experienced. The cottage is well stocked with all the little thins to make your stay convenient. I would definitely consider staying at this condo on next trip to Kona. Thanks for sharing your wonderful place. less

Everything you need and then some....

Condo 3703 has everything you need for fun-filled Hawaiian holiday. We stayed 11 nights in June so became well-acquainted with it. Conveniently located south of the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona, it's close enough to be quite convenient, but far enough away to be markedly quieter than more northerly locations. The nearby Keauhou shopping center makes grocery shopping and last-minute dining a breeze. The kitchen is large, well-equipped, and - unlike some properties we've stayed in - has a broad array of condiments and spices left by previous tenants. The lanai is exceptionally comfortable and the quiet roar of the surf is the perfect accompaniment to a cocktail or a good book. The beds are comfortable and firm, the overall unit spacious and comfy. We had a few minor issues during our stay and the owners were very (and quickly) responsive. The closet off the lanai has boogie boards, two coolers of different sizes, and two nice beach chairs - all of which we made frequent use of. The fact that this particular unit is on the far left of the complex is a real bonus as you have no neighbors off one side of the building - only the ocean and foliage. About the only frustration we ran into was occasionally having to wait for one of the numerous grills on the premises to free-up, but that gave us an opportunity to meet and get to know several neighbors. The grills themselves are high quality and cook well. I heartily & enthusiastically recommend this condo without reservation. less

Fabulous View !

Great home base while you tour big island! The ocean pool was very nice with hot tub, Magic Sands beach nearby had great waves Would highly recommend the night tour with Manta Rays. The best part every morning and night was sitting on deck watching the people paddle board and the boats. Very beautiful. less

Kanaloa at Kona, Condo 3703

This condo is absolutely amazing! The view from the lanai is stunning and it's conveniently located next to shopping. There is public access to the water if you walk out of the condo complex and a few houses down. This condo was perfect for our family of five with three adult kids. Everyone had their own space and the lanai was never empty! Toni and her family went out of their way to mitigate an air conditioning issue and had it replaced right before we arrived—they are super accomodating and kind. The condo had everything we needed for a fabulous stay! less

Condo 3703 - Kona

We had a funeral to attend in Kona and we wanted a place where we could see the ocean. It was an amazing view. The unit is well kept. There was such a great feeling of warmth. We would stay there again. Thank you for the prompt service you all provided. Much Love and Aloha! less

Great Location

We had a group of five adults stay at this condo who loved the size. The master suite is exceptionally large and wonderful. We spent a majority of our time viewing the water from the lanai where we saw dolphins and even some whale spouts. The pool areas are great and we also enjoyed the hot tub. Look forward to staying here again! less

Wonderful accommodations

We were part of a family group of 19 so it was so much fun. We had such wonderful accommodations it was more than perfect it was paradise, clean, beautiful, comfortable we have never slept so well. The view was spectacular especially at sunrise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We cooked for all of us and we had enough pots, pans, plates, etc. We were able to have enough room for all to sit eat and play games. One of the things we really wanted to do was for all of us to have a murder mystery dinner at the pool/BBQ area but we were told no it is not allowed this was disappointing. One other thing that was disappointing was that the sound on the TV would not work Diana reported it saying that there were going to be several football games on the next day that would add to our event. When the time came for us to watch the games the sound still was not working. less

— Diana, (David & Debbi Lewis, Stayed 01/11/2020

Spectacular

We had a fabulous time for our 15 night stay in this amazing condo. Beds were great, room sizes were very good and the kitchen amenities were great. Permission to use what was there and replace if used up. Saves so much for spices and condiments. Very easy to get to and not far from the airport. The view is worth every dime spent on rental. It was very hard to leave the lanai. Beautiful, relaxing views watching and hearing the waves rolling in. less

I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in Condo 3703, and would book the same unit again. It is nicely appointed with everyday stuff you need, but are sometimes lacking in condo rentals. The kitchen had all of the basic necessities from spices to aluminum foil, and all the cooking and eating utensils you would need. The location on the property is perfect in my opinion, it is private, quite, and has a beautiful view of a smaller bay with nicely crashing waves. It is the first building as you drive onto the property which I liked as it was quick in and out, but still very private. The master suite is on the parking lot side of the building, but the way the windows are situated you don't really notice it. There was no problem with noise at all. The lanai is large and comfortable to sit on to eat, enjoy a cocktail, or just take a nap. The grounds feature 3 pools that are all nice, and 2 tennis courts which were in good shape. All in all a very nice place to stay. There were boogie boards, golf clubs, tennis racquets and balls, beach towels, and even some water shoes at the unit. A couple of observations about the unit, not really negatives, just things that caught my attention when we first got there. The unit is on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building, so there is a somewhat long flight of stairs right as you enter the front door. The landing for the front door is quite small inside, so other than your shoes, everything goes up the stairs. The 3rd bedroom is really a loft area that is open to the rest of the common area. It has 2 twin beds in the loft, and it is private, but it is not really a 3rd room. The small office area is located in the master suite. We very much enjoyed our time in Condo 3703, and as I stated above, we would do it all over again. less

A slice of paradise

Condo 3703 should actually be referred to as a slice of paradise. The condo overlooking a stunningly beautiful cove is exceedingly comfortable with literally everything we needed. The view from lanai was spectacular from dawn to dusk. The location is near to everything we wanted to do from snorkeling to canoeing. Restaurants and shopping are within a stones throw. Our entire family, including two grown children, would return in a heartbeat. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful home on the Big Island. less

A Dream Vacation Place

We had to return for a second vacation to this dream of a condo! It is a great place for a number of reasons. First of all the location is wonderful because it sits high above a beautiful ocean cove, a view that you can enjoy from a lovely lanai replete with sofa and dining set. We ate all of our dinners out there. The kitchen is especially well stocked with cookware and pretty dinnerware, plus the owners kindly leave condiments and seasonings and other such staples for your use. All of the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable, and all of the amenities one could want are available, including a washer and dryer. The owners even leave beach equipment for the tenants to use! There are swimming pools and BBQ's on the premises and there is a beautiful golf course right there as well. In addition there is kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming within walking distance. Wonderful restaurants & shops are a short drive away. This last trip we ventured further and went out fishing on a beautiful charter boat called the Maya Mahi. This particular skipper is great at fishing for smaller fish that one can take home and eat. We caught both an ono and a short-billed spearfish which were fabulous eating! To reserve a trip, call Mark Lottis at 541-698-7720 (or 888-301-6480). You are guaranteed to enjoy your stay at this perfect vacation spot! less

Beautifuly Condo...Home away from Home

Unit 3703 at Kanaloa at Kona is truly amazing. Very spacious for our family of 4 and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is incredibly stocked with all your basic needs plus so much more. We spent most evenings on the lanai (wow...what a view) and truly had a wonderful vacation. The complex has 3 pools which was a hit with our small children and the grounds are beautifully kept. Just writing this makes me want to get on-line and book a return trip. We can't wait to go back. Oh, I forgot to mention sand toys, boogie boards, beach towels etc are available in the unit for you. It is very obvious the owners have taken great care in providing so many conveniences to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. I would highly recommend unit 3703 to anyone looking for a well stocked and beautifully decorated condo with owners who go the extra mile to accommodate their guests. less

Beautiful view in quiet complex

We loved our stay here and spent many hours on he lanai enjoying the gorgeous ocean view. The condo complex is very quiet - I was concerned when we first arrived because the master bedroom is in the front of the unit by the parking lot. But it was very quiet and I slept great. The condo is spacious and comfortable. There are many excellent restaurants just up the hill in a nearby shopping center and a marina a block away where you can catch a snorkel tour. Highly recommended! less

Relaxing view and location, plenty of space

The condo, amenities and location were absolutely perfect for our family of four. The price was higher due to the week we visited was the week prior to the Iron Man but we were still very pleased with the location due to all the amenities provided (laundry/dish detergent, various staples and fun toys/games for the kids) and the cleanliness of the unit. Beds were comfortable. The view was beautiful and tranquil. The ocean pool was very enjoyable with its clean pool and beautiful coast view. We travel a lot and the owner was the easiest to work with of all the places we've ever been. We just cannot thank you enough for our wonderful, relaxing, memorable visit! We almost never visit the same place twice but this is one location that is already beckoning a revisit for us! less

Relaxing Big Island time at Kanaloa

My wife and I spent a restful, relaxing week at Phil & Toni's home on the waterfront at Kanaloa. Their home has been carefully updated, a fact that added significantly to our enjoyment of this time. Appliances, and items supplied for cooking are all of relatively recent vintage, making food preparation enjoyable, rather than a chore. Decorating is tastefully Hawaiin, without being overbearing. Of course, the main attraction Is the beautiful blue ocean, and activities on the water. Folks boating, paddle boarding, team rowing the long canoes coming out of the Keauhou Canoe club, and the surfers. Yes, you can watch local people surfing from your lanai. I'll leave it for others to describe the common facilities found at Kanaloa – needless to say, we enjoy them. In closing, I'll say it's easy to tell when folks care a great deal about their home, and the experience it affords you, and them. Phil and Toni are those kind of folks, and it shows. Thanks again for sharing your home with us – Guy and Julia less

Comfortable, convenient and luxurious - Outstanding!

Our family of five were easily and comfortably accommodated in this two-level condo with huge master suite, twin-bedded second and loft third bedroom. Thoughtful staples left in the fully-equipped kitchen made home-made meals possible and easy. The short walk to the nearby grocery store and shopping centre also helped. Fantastic view over the surf crashing on the rocks in the bay! Well-kept grounds, gate security, helpful reception, easy access to BBQs, three pools (one overlooking the ocean), hot tubs and tennis courts, not to mention the 5-minute walk to the beach, made this seem like an exclusive private club. Within easy driving distance: high-quality luau for New Years at the Sheraton, surfing lessons in the bay, manta ray moonlight encounter, great restaurants, snorkling and boat expeditions. Wow! It's about a two-hour drive to Volcano National Park on the Hilo side, but well worth it as a day outing (leave early to make the 10:30 am ranger walk and leave time to explore for the rest of the day). We had a fantastic holiday, didn't want to leave, and would highly recommend this to anyone. less

Great Condo and Location!

This was a wonderful home and property! The owners have taken great pride in this residence and we enjoyed our stay very much. The condo property was also very clean and grounds well kept. All of the added touches were great: there were boogie boards & a large selection of water shoes (we purchased snorkels at Longs & snorkeled in that beautiful cove off the lanai), beach towels, stocked cupboards, every kitchen item you may need, cleaning items, a Foreman grill...I could go on...well done Phil and Toni! The unit was clean and bedding was nice. My husband, myself and 3 adult children stayed here for 4 nights and spent our last 5 nights at the Hilton Waikoloa. The Hilton's rooms were filthy, and we had quite a few issues there. We wished we had spent our entire stay at the condo. Lesson learned. Mahalo Phil and Toni! We will be back! :o) less

Wonderful Vacation Spot

What a beautiful vacation spot. The condo is decorated in updated, relaxing Hawaiian décor. The kitchen has beautiful cabinets and is fully stocked with nice utensils which the cooks in the family enjoyed. We had meals on the lanai overlooking the cove. Paradise! The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed the ocean pool. We visited some of the beaches and eating spots mentioned in the owners notes. They were all great. It was a week of wonderful adventures yet relaxing times. less

The Condo Made the Trip

We have stayed in this condo twice now. It is impeccably clean, very current and has an amazing view of a surfer's cove. There were several things I really appreciated about the condo. First the master bed has the most comfortable mattress and the master suite is beautiful. Another thing I loved about 3703 is that the kitchen is well stocked. They have a policy that you can use anything in the kitchen as long as you replace it if it runs out. That saved us a lot of money on zip locks and cooking ingredients. Overall I would have to say that this is the best condo we stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of them over the years! Oh yeah, it is elegant yet simple enough to be extremely kid friendly! less

Relaxing stay in beautiful condo

Our family was fortunate enough to stay at this beautiful condo again in May 2015. Our group was made up of 4 adults and 1 child. Plenty of room for all of us. The condo is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is generously stocked. The owners clearly take pride in this treasure of a condo and seem to want to make everyone's stay memorable and enjoyable with all the helpful tips they have put together. Most nights and mornings we sat out on the lanai and enjoyed the amazing view. Great location within a lovely complex with plenty of area to walk around and enjoy the many swimming pools. My husband and our friends enjoyed some nice snorkeling in the cove which the condo looks down on. Every spring our family tries to take a vacation to Hawaii and this one is without a doubt one of our favorite spots, including our 5 year old's who still talks about it. less

home away from home in paradise

The first moment we stepped through the front door, we were in love. This condo is so welcoming and homey, it truly is amazing. We first stayed here three years ago and have come back every year since. The condo itself is tastefully decorated and updated for modern convenience. It is always neat and clean, everything is in working order and there are plenty of extra linens on hand. The view of the ocean and surrounding flora is outstanding. This condo has an additional loft which allows for the whole family to stay here without having anybody sleeping on the floor or couch. The association has so many amenities, that you are never lacking for something to do. This little gem, truly is my favorite vacation spot and we will continue coming year after year. Words do not describe the way I feel about this beautiful home! less

More than five stars!

3703 is, hands down, the nicest condo we have ever stayed at in Hawaii. It is spacious which was a blessing because we usually travel with a pack of kids. On our last trip we took three 14 year old girls and they loved it, too. Every morning we shared breakfast on the lanai while watching the ocean and planning our day. In the evening the girls would curl up on the lanai couch and read a book. The condo was also recently renovated, so the flooring, bathrooms, kitchen, furniture and decor are all beautiful. If I could give this unit more than five stars, I would! less

We were there during the heat wave and it was hard to get the place cool. The construction down below wasn't horrible but I wasn't there I think a lot of the time he was working loudly. We saw a tiny mouse in the kitchen one night, busted open the cabinet door where the garbage can was - very cute, well to me, not my niece. The beds in loft are a little hard, but then again I'm getting old. It's great having all the condiments and pantry items there, great idea. It's a nice unit, thank you for your hospitality. Great place to stay in Kona!

We stayed in condo 3703 for 5 nights and had a wonderful stay. The unit was exactly as it was advertised. Everything was clean and updated. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were nice size. The best part of this condo is the lanai! What a perfect view! Very nice comfortable furniture on the lanai and in the living area. Everything we needed was in the unit including boogie boards, water socks etc. There were condiments in the fridge and spices etc in the cupboards, even coffee! The pools were great and watching the amazing sunsets from the oceanfront pool was incredible! We would definitely stay here again only next time longer!! less

Awesome Condo!

I had been reading reviews about Outrigger at Kona but decided that we wanted to see pictures of the actual condo that we would be staying at. Outrigger allows you to choose "ocean front" "ocean view" etc... I found alohacondos.com which represents the owners at this resort. Let me just say the whole experience with this company and the owners of this condo were awesome. Most communication was via email but it was very timely and I had absolutely no issues. The pictures were exactly as pictured. The condo had all the necessary appliances, linens, etc... The view and location were great. The shopping center less than a mile away had all your needs if you didn't feel like driving to Kona. I loved the location because it was close enough to Kona but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. This is a very nice up to date condo! less

Great place

Great view of small bay with fairly easy access, spacious, modern and clean, everything we needed, air-conditioning, nice pools and tennis, shopping center 10-minute walk, 2-minute drive. 5 mins. to one of the best snorkeling beaches. 10-15 mins. downtown Kona. Very happy with this place. Would try like crazy to stay here again if we come back to the big island. less

Beautiful condo!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this condo! Very comfortable beds, plenty of towels & linens. The fridge and cabinets were well stocked with helpful items. The condo is in a great location to view the ocean and sunrise/sunset.

Tranquil Elegance

I experienced the tranquility of this island paradise from the moment the cordial security staff greeted us, and then we parked in a tropical courtyard at the condo doorstep. Our second greeter was a mongoose running thru the hyacinth bushes blooming with salad plate size blossoms. I could feel the tension of every day worries melt away as I listened to the morning birds and watched the boats, paddlers, and sailboards lazily make their way across the bay. What a view from the lanai comfortably situated with Hawaiian print furniture! Day 1-A short walk through the manicured grounds & pathways to one of 3 pools. After a brief swim in my favorite, the heated Ocean side pool where we could hear the tide and see the sea spray, I let the warmth of the bubbling spa pool soak away my 'flight-sore' muscles. Enjoyed afternoons walking the ocean front esplanade discovering boutique shoppes and wonderful dining experiences. The Big Island Grill had great lunches, and the world class menu of the Fish Hopper with its island paradise ambiance topped off the stay for family and friends. Scenic drives along the coast line, stopping at historical sites of interest, and picturesque hills provided a quiet interlude for a day of relaxing. The spacious kitchen, dining and living area that open onto the ocean view lanai provide a warm invitation to everyone to participate in meal preparation, conversation or just to enjoy the companionship of sharing the best island pizza. The pizzeria is 3 minutes drive as is a grocery store that provides some of the island's most delectable papayas. Relaxed in the evening watching tv together on the flat screen in the living room warmly decorated in island theme then retreated to our separate bedrooms decorated in tropical theme to easily fall asleep in the comfort of the fan cooled room (or you can choose to switch on the a/c). (cont'd). With the splendid amenities of an elegant home, you won't want to leave this tropical island paradise! less

Ono ONO ONO ONO

Ono, ONO, ONO and more Onos! Even though viewed pictures on line - was pleasantly pleased and veey exited with all the amenities. The view off the Lanai was incredible -whether we could see windsurfers, swimmers, snorklers and other water activity it was always so peaceful and relaxing! The pools with different hours for children or adults was of interest to me as I enjoy reading and relaxing, and of course swimming, while at the pool.Again , very peaceful listening to the wave action of the ocean. The entire complex is very well groomed and immaculate. This condo is spacious, luxurious and very tropical in it's decor which lends to a Hawaiian experience. Even though I've stayed on Big Island 4-5 times previously - this entire condo experience was by the the best! The condo is very well appointed with all the necessary items in the kitchen which lends to staying there vs dining out.Would I stay there again and would I recommend this condo to my friends and family - without a doubt!!! Delightfully beyond my expectations

Having lived in Hawaii a while ago I try to get back at least twice a year. Flights, car rentals, places to see and things to do are fairly constant. Lodging though has been touch and go. Over the years I have run the gambit from mice invested squalor (much to my surprise) to a 5 star hotel. I thought I had seen the full spectrum, but with this last visit - the bar has been raised. In a word: 'Elegance'. In a few more; impeccably clean, grand-fashioned, exceedingly comfortable, well-placed, well-appointed, quiet, and everything you could possibly want - already there. Fully equipped kitchen, full size washer and dryer and a view from the Lanai (itself the size of some of the places I have stayed) that is simply breath taking. Fantastic sleeping accommodations (three separate quarters) and even a private parking space! The swimming pools were excellent. We mostly used the one closest to the ocean as hearing the crashing of the waves always enhances the experience. I wholeheartedly recommend 3703 to anyone who wants things the right way. I look forward to my next visit as I need look no further. less

Beatiful home away from home in a great location

Stayed at Condo 3703 at Kanaloa at Kona in april 2013. Very spacious and newly remodeled. From the mouth of our 3 year old when we first walked in, "this is beautiful". Kitchen stocked with just about anything you might need to if you plan on cooking in. Obviously well thought out to provide a comfortable and stocked "home away from home". We enjoyed watching turtles in the bay right off balcony and walking along the golf course with our daughter in the evenings. Great location too! Shopping center is just up the road and the bay where many of the excursions go out is about 5 minutes away. Staff at the Kanaloa at Kona are very accomodating and swimming pools (3 of them) and grounds are great. Honestly, the most beautiful condo we have ever stayed in and just wait until you see the master bedroom! less

Well-equiped condo in a nicely maintained complex with pools, ba

A relaxing stay in a recently remodeled condo. Great location in the complex with nice balcony area overlooking the bay. Stocked with more than the usual amenities, especially in the kitchen. The whole-house fan cools the house in the evening, saving on air conditioning. Would definitely return. less

Great Stay, Wonderful Condo, Excellent Location

We stayed with two friends and our daughter. The condo was beautiful, with all new furniture, flooring, paint, bathrooms and appliances. The location is perfect, within walking distance to a small bay where excursions sail from, kayaking, snorkeling and beautiful walks. The grocery store is a five minute walk up the hill too. The views are spectacular looking out into a bay with surfers during the day and night time manta ray boat all lit up at night. We have never had more comfortable accommodations away from home, including the beds! The grounds and pools are very well kept. We will be back. less

The perfect condo for our family!

We love staying in condos when we travel but we are not easy to please. We want a condo that is super clean, modern, comfortable but we don't want to feel like we are staying somewhere we are afraid to take your kids. Not easy to find. Unit 3703 is the perfect unit! It is all recently remodeled and has an amazing view of a surfers bay. We brought our two kids and put them in the loft. The loft is clean and airy and has two comfortable twin beds. We skipped using the guest room and put a little space between us and the kiddos. It worked out really well. The master suite is really well done. It is clean, bright and the master bathroom is bigger than our master bedroom at home! The best thing about the bedroom is that it is in an end unit and the window look into the lush gardens. There is complete privacy and you don't have to listen to the parking lot noises. The kitchen has all new appliances and beautiful granite counter tops. It also has a great view of the bay! We are going to stay here again! less
