Dream Location

I have travelled to the Hawaiian Islands many times and have stayed in many locations and have to say this is one of the best vacation rentals I have stayed in! The point of contact was easy to communicate with and helpful. The location is... more central to many great sites, there is a rocky beach you can see from the lanai AND you can walk there within minutes! We experienced great snorkeling right at the condo! I was able to watch my family snorkeling as I had my morning coffee! The home itself was spacious, comfortable and well stocked. All of the beds are comfortable, AC worked well but when turned off and windows opened you have the great breeze so it wasn’t always needed. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone! less

Kanaloa at Kona is great

You won't want to leave

I have to agree with all the other guests who not only reviewed here but also in the unit's guest book that this is the best vacation rental we have ever had the privilege to enjoy. The unit was super clean (you can tell since... more you to take your shoes off per Hawaiian custom) and quiet. We loved hearing the ocean and all the island birds conversing close by. The master suite is spacious and I can't overstate how wonderful it is to have room to spread out. I never appreciated this before until we got to experience it. I loved being off the beaten path of Ali'i drive, but being just minutes away from Keauhou shopping center for quick runs for groceries and sundries. SeaQuest Hawaii is also ~2 miles away, so we took advantage and did the night manta ray snorkel, the highlight of our trip! The a/c worked great when we occasionally needed it (just the master bath gets a little warm in the afternoons); the beds were super comfortable and the wifi worked great. There's quite an array of spices, plastic wrap, foil, storage containers; full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash. And I appreciated the comfortable, quality furniture, not the "charming" but insufferable wicker and rattan pieces we see in so many other vacation rentals. I loved this tasteful unit. Darrell is extremely generous, responsive and it seems to be top priority for him that his guests are happy and comfortable. We also had to reschedule our stay last year and he did not hesitate to make arrangements for us. Stop looking and book this place already! less

Wonderful memories were made!

Condo #3603 is absolutely beautiful, fully stocked with everything our family of 7 needed for our stay. The master suite is AWESOME! Darrell was very accommodating in allowing us to update our reservation several times (6 months in advance). Highly recommend!

By far, the nicest condo in Keauhou

We cant say enough about Kanaloa 3603 and our host Darrell Breckel. Darrel was not only incredibly pleasant to deal with, he was super responsive. And the attention to detail on everything provided in the condo was second to none. They didn't miss a thing... more and you could see they were so thoughtful in how they outfitted the unit. All the appliances, furniture and accessories were top quality; the unit was spacious and so nicely put together. Beach accessories were in excellent condition and fully stocked. Anything you could have ever needed was provided. And with 3 bedrooms and 3 huge bathrooms, it was perfect for myself, my husband and two teen daughters, and would be perfect for large families as well. 3603 is so private, with a beautiful view off the lanai which is off the beaten path, a perfect place to have your coffee in the am listening to the birds and the crash of the waves and to watch the sunset at the end of the day. We have stayed in Kanaloa for years but this by far was the nicest unit we have stayed in and we will definitely come back again. Kanaloa grounds & the ocean pool are so well maintained and everyone is so friendly there. Great value for money. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit the Big Island. less

Perfect Condo - Great Host

Family stay

Perfect location and stay for a mixed family. Plenty of room and bathrooms for all to have privacy while hanging out together. Simply the Best

Our family of 7 (5 adults and two Grandkids ages 3.5 and 6) absolutely enjoyed our stay at this well-furnished and well-stocked 3 bedroom condo resort with A/C. Sitting in the lanai, we enjoyed the breathtaking views of the ocean as we ate our breakfast... more and sometimes dinner there. The kitchen was well stocked with a LOT of appliances (more than what we have at our own house), dinner settings for up to 12 people and all the spices you need to prepare a BBQ dinner near the swimming pool. They even had pancake mix and pancake syrup for us to use. All the stainless steel appliances looked brand new. The washer and dryer came in handy for our family. There's really no need to lug any snorkeling equipment from home to this resort. They had all the beach gear you would ever need to enjoy the Big Island.... snorkels and masks, water shoes, ice chest, beach chairs, stacks and stacks of beach towels, and boogie boards. Thank you Darrel for making this a relaxing vacation for our family, and to the cleaning crew who got it ready for us for early check-in. Mahalo! less

Wonderful Stay!

We were going to stay at a different condo which became unavailable, and picked this one in a rush based only on photos (no reviews yet). I'm so glad we did! From the first interactions with Darryl to the detailed info provided well in advance,... more we felt confident in the rental. Darryl and Mark (onsite property manager) were both very responsive to emails and texts. The condo itself is way above expectations! We've stayed in many vacation rentals, and this was one of the very best. More than plenty of space, everything squeaky clean, upscale kitchen, comfy beds, fantastic view from a spacious porch, not to mention the well-stocked cupboards and aloe-infused makeup wipes! And don't forget the master bath, which is a spa-like experience. The resort is very nice; we only used the ocean pool which is small but has a terrific view. We also walked the path along the ocean which is lovely. It was a little tricky getting in and out at first; the guard isn't always available and we weren't able to pick up our gate cards till morning. But it worked out fine. Should also mention that the condo is up a big flight of stairs, so not appropriate for anyone with mobility issues. less

Awesome View, Awesome Condo

We stayed in Kanaloa 3603 over Easter week with my family and in-laws. Tons of room for the 5 of us. My teen enjoyed having the loft all to himself with his own bathroom. We all agreed it was the best condo we have stayed... more in over 15 years of renting condos over all the main islands. It has everything you could ask for. The view from the lanai was excellent. Great seating and having the lounge area with the couches was a great place to hang out. The condo was up to date in every way possible. Super nice updated AC system. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need including spices. There was beach chairs, umbrella, ice chest for the beach. The internet went out and the owner happen to be on island that day. He came over and bought all new equipment and we were up and running in a couple hours, with faster internet! Great customer service. The resort grounds were well maintained and enjoyed the pools. Don't hesitate to book this unit. You will not be disappointed! Aloha! less

Wonderful stay

Perfect location with very comfortable housing. I highly recommend staying here!! Generous provisions, professional and extremely responsive. Mark, ( on location caretaker of the condo) was lovely.
