POLICIES FOR KANALOA #2602:

 

Deposits and Payments

A Non-refundable deposit of 20.0% of the total rental amount must be received to confirm a reservation.

Full payment of the rental balance due is required no less than 30 days prior to the check-in date.

A security deposit of $750 is also required and will be authorized on your credit card 7 days prior to arrival.

A charge may result for any damage to the condo, any evidence of smoking or vaping inside or outside on the lanai, missing contents, missing keys, missing towels, evidence that large furniture has been moved (ie. sofas, tables, beds, etc., a need for excessive cleaning or for exceeding the number of allowed overnight guests (4).

 

Cancellations

The Reservation Deposit is non-refundable.

Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the check-in date can have the deposit applied to a stay of the same dollar amount or more at the same AlohaCondos property within one year of the original check-in date. (subject to availability and new applicable nightly rate will apply)  Such changes to reservations are subject to an administrative fee of $35.00  .

Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to check-in will forfeit all deposits.

Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to check-in will forfeit all deposits and all rental balance due payments.

Any permitted reservation change will be subject to an adminstrative fee of up to 5% of the accommodations total, or a minimum of $35.  (i.e. changes such as a reduction in number of nights booked )

 

Check-in & Check-Out Policy:

  • Check-in time is anytime after 3 PM
  • Check-out time is anytime before 11 AM.
  • Please be certain to plan your arrival and departure days accordingly. 
  • Early Check-in or Late Check-out may be available for an additional fee, subject to pre-approval by owner.

Air Conditioning (A/C):

  • For the comfort of all our guests, Air Conditioning is required and automatically added to reservations made between June 1 and November 1 due to higher temperatures and increased humidity that time of year.
  • Air Conditioning is optional during the cooler months of the year, November - May
  • After declining A/C, If a guest then requests A/C be turned on during their stay, a $35.00 local contact trip charge fee may be applied in addition to the daily A/C charge.

General Policies:

  • Guests shall respect and follow the Kanaloa at Kona "House Rules" , which include observing quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
  • Smoking (including vaping) is strictly prohibited in the condo or on the condo lanai, and doing so will result in full loss of security deposit.
  • Kanaloa at Kona Resort is a 100% Non-Smoking and Non-Vaping property.
  • A maximum of 4 overnight guests are allowed in this condo.  Falsely reprenting less guests than are actually staying will result in loss of all deposits and is grounds for immediate eviction.
  • There is to be no moving of large furniture (ie. sofa, loveseat, tables, beds, nightstands,etc.). I
  • A fee of $15 per towel will be assessed for any missing beach or bath towels.
  • Tampering with any area or cabinet locked off from guest use will result in forfeiture of Security deposit.
  • No pets of any kind.
  • Please make sure all keys are left behind at condo.  We charge a $50 replacement fee for each key.
  • Please take out all garbage before you depart. 
 
***    Lastly, the most important rule/policy is:

           Have a relaxing stay and a vacation that is filled with special memories !

 

Stayed for one week and despite being inconvenienced by rare hurricane had a wonderful stay. The best part was the condo. It was furnished as best as could possibly imagined with books on where to go and what to do, with snorkeling equipment, with cookware and appliances just like home. The view was spectacular with ocean waves booming, throwing water into the air for viewing from the lanai and sunsets unobstructed by only palm trees and the ocean pool. The only disappointment was having to leave.

We just returned from a week and a half stay in Hawaii. This condo was the perfect size for our family. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possible need. When we arrived we had a couple gifts waiting for us, which was a very nice touch!! Since our visit was in July we opted to have the air conditioner turned on. This cooled the condo nicely with the exception of the back bedroom. This room gets very hot. There is a floor fan that we ran that helped bring the temperature in there down.

The location of this unit is perfect. We sat out on the patio each morning drinking coffee and watching the waves crash against the lava.

Lonna was a pleasure to work with and we will definitely be back!!

We made a week long trip to Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii for our anniversary in July 2018. We honeymooned in Kona after our wedding years ago and we try to get back to the Big Island whenever we can. Kanaloa condo 2602 is a beautiful, luxuriously appointed, oceanfront unit with amazing ocean and sunset views from the lanai! The unit is 5-star across the board! Every detail in Unit 2602 was perfect! The unit is pristine, well thought out, exceptionally clean, and we wanted for nothing during our visit. The kitchen is amazing and everything you might need or want is there. We even had a wine cooler! Heading to the Beach? – chairs, towels, cooler, umbrella are all there and ready to go. Honestly though, the condo, the Ocean Pool, and the Kanaloa complex and amenities were so peaceful and wonderful, it was difficult to leave on excursions! (A great problem to have!) The Ocean Pool is a great place to be! You can hear the sound of the surf breaking on the shore, take your choice of sun or shade, and of course the incredible Kona sunset views! I would be remiss if I did not address the recent volcanic activity on the Big Island. We were aware of all the media interest before our trip, but it was not an issue for us at all. Most days were clear and beautiful. We had just a couple of hazy days but the haze just made the sunset more mysterious and reminded us how incredible and natural the Big Island is! We didn’t go over to the volcano, but we met several individuals, and a family, who went over to the other side of the island to see the eruption, and they said it was the experience of a lifetime! We have stayed at half a dozen other Kanaloa condos over the years, and 2602 is hands down the nicest! Our week was luxurious, peaceful, restful, and beautiful! We’ll be back as soon as we can and we will be booking #2602 again!

The condo was absolutely perfect and the kitchen was stellar with beautiful counters and new appliances (even though we didn't cook)...even a wine fridge! The entire condo has been recently renovated from top to bottom so it was a pleasure to walk in the door and see the beautiful colors and furnishings chosen...just like in a magazine. We only used one bedroom but that bed was very comfortable, furnishings were quality and the room was quite large. The adjoining bathroom was also quite large and light and bright and cheerful with a wonderful large shower and vanity with two sinks.

We started our morning on the deck with coffee watching the ocean and ended our day on the deck or at the pool with wine watching the sun set. The location is quiet and the grounds (like the condo) are immaculate.

Lonna was a joy to work with. Very responsive, clear communications and always pleasant.

This condo is filled with Aloha spirit and you won't be disappointed.

We stayed at Kanaloa #2602 for 11 days in May 2018 and it was possibly the best condo value we've rented on all of our Hawaiian island travels. The owners have literally thought of everything with this condo. The renovated interior, exterior, décor, furnishings, super comfortable beds and upgrades were outstanding. Very spacious interior and deck space made it so we never felt crowded. The closet and shed have everything you'll need (coolers, sunscreen, tennis equipment, snorkel sets, beach umbrellas, boogy boards, beach chairs, even spare sunglasses) to cover all your island equipment needs. The resort itself was fantastic for our needs. Very relaxed and quiet with beautiful grounds and facilities. The Oceanside pool was never crowded and is perfect for unwinding while watching and listening to the waves crash on the lava alongside the pool. If you get a chance, would recommend a trip to the bay just adjacent to the resort (5 min walk) for some great snorkeling! Also, a trip north to Hapuna Beach is worth the 50 minute drive.....our favorite beach on the island.

Our friends stayed in these great owners additional condo #3602 which has also been totally renovated and had the same great experience. Would highly recommend both condo units and this property and we plan on staying there again upon our next visit to the Big Island!!

This was probably the best owner-owned condo we’ve ever stayed at. We loved the location, could sit out on the lanai and hear and see the waves crashing. Perfect for relaxing. The owners made sure our every need was met. The furnishings were lovely, mattresses were very comfortable and the cleanliness was noted. We definitely will come back.

There is no question ... this condo at Kanaloa deserves better than 5 star rating - if only a higher rating was available!I has been beautifully remodeled with none of the finer high end details omitted. Tasteful, elegant, homey and Hawaiian all wrapped into an island home away from home. The convenient location is a bonus! Close to grocery, restaurants as well as keeping you island happy. The condo is centrally located between all you would want to visit north, south or east.We would never stay anywhere else when visiting beautiful Kona!

When we get back to the Big Island- we would definitely stay here again. Pictures were accurate, good security, beautiful sunsets every night, relaxing and quiet. The condo is beautifully and newly renovated. A great mix of being able to go out to eat and wanting to stay in and barbecued on the grill by the pool- - which were some of our favorite happy hours. The kitchen is well stocked with dining and cooking supplies. But also a 15 minute drive or uber ride from downtown (approx. $20/ride).

A nice small white sands beach about 2 miles away. A shopping plaza with a grocery store and multiple dining choices about 1/2 mile away- easy walk. They also had a farmers market on the weekends. Overall, very nice! Thank you Lonna!

Kanaloa at Kona was recommended by a friend because of its central location, privacy and beautifully well maintained condo complex. We always felt safe and secure in the gated complex with plenty of walking paths along the ocean and golf course nearby. Condo 2602 was absolutely perfect for our mother-daughter getaway. The condo has a lovely view of the ocean from the lanai. We especially loved waking up every morning to the sound of ocean waves and birds signing. The evening sunsets were even more beautiful! We felt right at home at #2602. Everything is brand new, very clean and decorated just like a model home. Lonna & Mike, the owners, have thought of everything you might need and then some for a perfect vacation on the Big Island.

We stayed at Kanaloa Condo 2602 for a week in February and it was wonderful! The unit is recently renovated and beautifully decorated. There’s a fully equipped kitchen and a handy guest closet with things for the pool and beach. Incredible sunset views from the lanai overlooking the ocean and pool. Highly recommend it!

I recently spent two wonderful weeks at this unit, thrilled with it’s location in the complex and proximity to the pool. From the lanai I could hear the the crashing waves, and from there enjoyed every sunrise, many meals, reading, or painting. I’ve stayed at many vacation rentals through the years, but this one was very special and rose above my expectations. Beautiful cookware, good (and fresh!) spice collection, and great knives and towels. I have already decided to return next year, and although the dates are still in limbo, I’m definitely staying three weeks instead of two. It is truly paradise, thanks to Lonna and Mike...you are amazing hosts!

This condo was absolutely superb. Every detail was taken care of and beautifully presented. Overlooking the ocean and sunsets made it ideal for a relaxing stay. We were celebrating a 50th and 75th family birthday so it was a very special place to be.
