We have been coming to this area in West Maui for over 20 years. This is our 6-7th stay at Nohonnani condos, an our first time in unit 200. We love this location. Nohonnani has very spacious condos and #200 has all of the amenities to settle in and make it home during your stay. The beds weee comfortable, we bought extra pillows at Costco as we stayed 3 weeks We loved that this condo had two bathrooms both with a shower. Other 2 bedrooms have a jack and Jill bathroom and the. A small 2nd bathroom with just a toilet. This was a definite plus in this suite. We walk 5 minutes to the outdoor farmers market every Monday Wednesday and Friday. We purchase fresh produce, dips, salsa, banana bread and stop in to see Mako at Bad Ass coffee to get our fix. Then we go “home” and make an amazing breakfast enjoying it on the deck while watching the whales (Feb-Mar). Evenings we either go out or cook on the BBQ - there’s only one now but it’s big. Our only disappointment was that after a 23 night stay we were not able to have a late checkout (even 2-3 hours) without paying for a full night, even though there was not someone else checking in for 5 days. We will be back to Nohonnani condos and cannot wait!
Closest oceanfront you can imagine!

We have stayed at Nohonani three times over the past 20 years, and it is always a delight. The surf crashes just outside your windows, turtles often rest on the sand overnight, and whales can be seen in the distance (in season). The units are well-equipped, but not fancy. Unit 200 could use some minor repairs, as the screen was torn and there were some loose tiles. Owners should provide a little laundry soap. None of these issues really impacted our enjoyment. Strongly recommend that you go North to Kapalua for the most beautiful and accessible beaching. If you are a strong swimmer, try Honolua Bay for snorkeling, but watch the surf surges. We stayed in West Maui the whole 10 days, and didn't try any long trips to Hana or the volcano or Kihei. There is more than enough to do here! The fish market is just down the road and we bought fresh fish for dinner most nights, grilled right outside our unit.

First time in Maui & First time at this condo!! LOVED it - it was just the two of us but we wanted something right by the beach. Everyone was friendly and the space was clean and well stocked and perfectly set up. There was an awesome gift bag waiting for us. The parking lot can be a bit tight so warning for people with larger vehicles. It was so convenient to walk down the street for some yummy food & stunning public park with a gorgeous beach. Awesome views of rainbows a bunch of mornings. Fell in love with the view. The lanai was clean and spacious and so nice to sit and have a bite to eat. People were relatively quiet - as you should be because sound carries! Awesome oasis.

This was the perfect location for an easy, no stress getaway. The suite had everything I could ever need and the goody bag increased the wow factor. The two bedroom suite was large and spacious overlooking the pool and the water. The grounds were kept meticulously by Joe, the resident manager, who was ready and willing to help at all hours. Everything else you could need or want is a stone's throw away. This was the most relaxing holiday I've had in a very, very long time. Thank you Nohanani and the Degen family - I'll be back next year if you'll have me.

Nice clean condo with great views. You overlook the beach and pool areas which enhances the vacation experience. Met other guests and residents at a pupus party and everyone is friendly - which makes for a fun experience. Facility manager Joe and wife Pua are both very nice and do their jobs very well. This is my third Winter vacation at Nohonani and I would rent this unit again.
We are very happy that our unit in Nohonani brings as much pleasure to our guests as it brings to our family. there is nothing like a few days on the beach in Maui. Rick & Heather

We stayed at this condo Feb 3 - 9, 2017 with my husband, daughter and son-in-law. I was fully delighted with the location, cleanliness and amenities. From the lanai we could sit and watch whales breaching in the ocean in front of us, and turtles crawled up on the beach or swam by. The view was magnificent and it felt very private. The condo was spotless when we arrived and we tried to keep it that way. We appreciated all the kitchen devices, cutlery and plates, etc. especially the coffee maker. Beach towels were great. We also used the washer and dryer during our stay. One bedroom was a bit noisier than the other, as it is right on the beach and you can hear the sound of the surf all night long. Which I found soothing and restful. The second bedroom was much quieter, (until morning when the roosters start crowing!). We all loved the condo and would have been happy staying there for much longer than the time we had.
Our family who has owned the condominium since it was built love to hear about the enjoyment our guests have. Thank you staying with us.

We stayed for 9 days and with all the different options of places to stay we could not have been happier with our discussion to stay here. Between the turtles feeding off the rocks on the little beach to pods of spinner dolphins and humpback wales swimming by all the time there was never a shortage of things to watch on the lanai everyday. The condo was very clean and well stocked. In a good location. Honestly could not think of 1 negative thing to say about this condo. The property manager does a great job of keeping the complex clean and is very friendly.
Amazing Condo with Amazing Views

My family and I had an amazing stay at the Nohonani codos. The view is spectacular and so close to the beach! The facilities are well maintained and very family friendly. I will definitely be coming back to stay in unit 200. There are only 2 cons I can't think of: 1) with a toddler, being right above he pool was a bit noisy for sleep time and 2) the floors in the condos are very filthy, so bring sandals to walk around- and possibly 2.5) the door handles on the kitchen cabinets are also pretty dirty.
Other than this, I highly recommend staying at the condos. Super friendly manager and neighbors, close to amazing sights and beaches, and stocked well for guests.

A wonderful condo convenient to Kaanapali Beach an Lahaina. Very well appointed with everything one might need. We appreciated the tasteful updated decor. This condo is directly above the pool which can be noisy sometimes but the quiet hours were well observed. The daily upkeep of the pool area and the ground was always on time and thorough. There are 2 grills on the pool deck for the guests' use. We loved watching the turtles feed right off the beach and the sunsets every evening. Definitely would use it again. Good and fair priced.

We had a wonderful time staying at this condo. We go to Maui every year and pick a different place every year. We spend 10 days Maui - 10 days Oahu. However, we were not happy with a few things in the condo. There were ants in the kitchen, Looked like mold on the refrigerator and the floors were filthy dirty. Also could use a new patio set on the lanai. Seats were very low, couldn't see over the railing. Beautiful pool area.
Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay with a few improvements. Nice area with shopping close by.
Thank you so much for your review. We were just in Maui for a few days ourselves. Our family has owned the unit since it was originally built. We have talked to housekeeping and have taken care of the cleaning issues. The furniture on the lanai will be taken care of as well. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay here. We certainly did. Our friends the sea turtles came up on the beach every day to rest. Very exciting! Owner, Rick Degen

We returned to Nohonani unit 200 for another wonderful week. We enjoyed staying in this unit, the beach view (every unit is on the water) & watching the Honu (Turtles) eat on the rocks at the waters edge. Just note that there is a King size bed in the master & a smaller bed in the other room. The grounds are very well kept & the Building Mgr is always on site which is good too! Great for couples or families!

Just perfect! Our visit was first at Wailea Marriott, good times but it was not until we came to the Nohonani did we feel Hawaii! The place was darling. The view of the water from the lanai (balcony) lovely every night! Konk blowing at sunset from all the condos was an experience! The unit was spotless, the management had the property pristine at all times. Sea turtles every night came on the beach. There was a little rock ledge at the beach, but great easy white sand access to swim or paddle out. When we went to Kanapali we expected perfect beaches, but to tell you the truth our little beach was better. Private area, we are separated by two sea walls that limits access of the public! Overall, this little gem just great. I would definitely stay again, location great, close to the highlights of the island. Walking distance to little shops and grocery. We have teen girls and we felt comfortable to let them explore. Beds good, sheets no so much. Unit equipped with everything. Beach chairs for two, snorkel gear (we had our own); boogie boards onsite that past visitors have left, all the conveniences of home. Simple spices, oils, and more were in kitchen. We left more goodies for the next tenants. Perfect stay answer is simple YES YES YES! Read the "Maui Revealed" (in unit) to find the treasure locations! First day! Thanks for a amazing stay! Don't hesitate this is a great place, my brother said stay at Napili that was the place, this place better. Un crowded and intimate, price point great too! We didn't want to leave. Super comfy couch spacious for good size for our family! Really nice experience!
Really liked the unit and have rebooked for 2016

Our 31st year at Noho. We always plan to return. We assume you want an honest evaluation and that you are not considering these comments as negative. We think that the $1600 non-refundable deposit is unfair. Other agencies only charge $500. Being on a fixed income, this is a hardship for us, and the non-refundable part is worrisome. We have checked with other units, and their cleaning fees are anywhere from $75-90, thus making your fee of $150 out of line. The same cleaners are being used.We think the non-smoking policy should be stressed when renters book...there is way too much smoking and it keeps Joe very busy trying to reinforce it. If renters knew it was non-smoking, they would be more compliant. We really appreciate Joe and his cheerful, helpful personality. This being said, we only have one other comment and that is about the fan in the small bathroom being 'noisy'! You have probably noted that by now.We love NoHo and the friends we have made there. Thanks for the opportunity for input and we love the unit. We are caretakers of the turtles and would love to see more signage posted on both gates and on the beach about not touching them etc. Entirely too many times this natural endangered species is interfered with on 'our' beach.

This is our third time staying at the Nohonani condos (unit 200) and we love this place. This is like a home away from home and a very comfortable condo. Our kids are 10 & 12 and love being able to leave the room and be at the pool or beach in no time. An added plus is being able to snorkel with the turtles and seeing them sleep on the beach. Nothing better than getting to go to sleep and listen to the ocean out your window! This has to be the best value in Maui and is much better than any of the high priced resorts.

We love Nohonani and have stayed there 6 times over the years. Unit 200 was very nicely updated and comfortable. It was quite clean except the floor. All of us ended up with black feet every evening, so had to shower before bed. In the kitchen, we could have lived with a few less glasses and a little more cupboard space for our food, etc. Loved having an ice maker and a rice cooker! Could have used an instruction booklet about the washer/dryer. Overall it was really a wonderful time and we will be back. Mahalo.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay. All the little touches, Blender, Ipod player, beach towels, beach chairs, blue ice in freezer, ice chest, kitchen gadgets/tools, paperbacks, etc were so thoughtful. The beds were both comfortable. (I would bring your own pillow). We adored the view and believe it is an excellent location. Would have gotten 5 stars if it had a few updates. We really liked the M/W/F Farmers market just down the street. We swam with the giant turtles just outside our condo. We experienced the best sunsets every night.

Exactly what one needs from a condo on Maui: Excellent Location, Clean, Updated, Pool, Beach, and above all, No Stress. Both the individual condo and the Nohonani complex was the perfect fit for a relaxing, easy time on Maui. From the sea turtles on "your beach", to private balconies, to the grills and individual units, things were as easy and enjoyable as you would imagine. It is not a resort...those are within easy walking distance. You have the ability to "live" in an area where tourist and locals mix, while being very able to walk to the major resorts, restaurants, shops, and various beaches. It might seem minor, but having parking is a nice bonus.

Our stay at the condo was fabulous. The master bedroom and bath are spacious with the sound of the ocean soothing you. The kitchen, dining area and living room are nicely decorated and well-appointed with amenities. The second bedroom and hall bathroom are perfect for another couple. Absolutely, the best is the balcony overlooking the ocean. We breakfasted there every morning and relished the sunset with our dinners there in the evenings. The clean, quiet beach with huge turtles nearby was great for sunbathing and swimming. Can't wait till we can go the Condo 200 again!
