Well, let me begin by saying, "don't know where to start...?" Maybe the good news first. The Hotel and surrounding pools, hot tubs with cascading waterfalls and gardens, the koi ponds, lagoons & fountains were SO beautiful! Especially, as everything was decorated for Christmas. The tree in the main lobby was truly one of the very loveliest I've seen with all the Hawaiian carvings and symbolic treasures, unique to the islands. However, I felt 'the spirit of Aloha' severely lacking at KBR. When we received confirmation of our booking, we also received notice of a $25.00/day pa...

Resort is conveniently located close to the airport, and is 1-1.5 hours from both ends of the island highway making it the perfect home base if you are planning to see as much of the island as possible. The room itself is clean and comfortable, although it was humid during my entire stay with no way to ventilate save to open the door. My biggest complaint would be the lack of soundproofing. Doors slammed all night long in the hall and I could hear every word my neighbours (next to and above me) were saying - sometimes as if they were in my room with me...! Overall though, it is fairly priced.

We enjoyed our stay at the Kauai beach resort. It's nicely located on the island making it easy to do day trips anywhere and come back for a comfortable night sleep at the resort. The pools, bar and restaurant are nice and a fun place to hang out at night when you don't feel like driving anywhere. We recommend it.

The resort was better than I expected. The staff, the facilities, and the location were all great. We greatly enjoyed the musicians they invited to perform. The one thing I would ask the owner to improve on would be the bed mattress - a bit old and stiff for me. Note, though, that this isn't what I would call a condo as there is no kitchen. We will go back!

We stayed six nights. The first time I walked into the condo I noticed it smelled like mold. Because it was a privately owned condo we couldn't get moved to another room. The condo was very humid all the time and water always accumulated on the floor in the bathroom either due to a small leak or condensation. After two days staying there I got sick. My lungs ached and I coughed constantly. I was sick for the rest of my time in Kauai and it totally ruined my vacation. I blame my illness on the mold in the air in the condo. The grounds and the pool area were top notch. The staff was wonderful. The resort itself was older and needed some work. The room was just the same as a hotel room. The price for the room was reasonable. It wasn't anything fancy but served the purpose. When we go on holidays we don't spend a lot of time in the room anyways. Our biggest frustration was that the water in the shower wasn't very hot most of the time. Apparently there was some boiler issues. You couldn't swim at the beach but it didn't bother us because the resort has a great pool set up.

My wife and I stayed at the Kauai Beach Club during a recent trip. The unit we were in was obtained through VBRO. It was a studio unit that was nicely located in the resort with the lagoon just outside the lanai and easy access to the main pool and central resort area. There is a good stretch of beach to enjoy the ocean. The restaurant at the resort is very good with reasonable prices.
