Waimanalo Beach Park

Set beneath the stunning Koolau mountain range, Waimanalo Beach Park is a long, sandy beach with relatively calm water unless the ocean waves are large. Ironwood trees provide some shady areas. Waimanalo Beach Park is just one of three prominent beaches on Waimanalo Bay. The other two are Bellows Field Beach Park and Waimanalo Bay Beach Park.

Need to Know

The protection by the offshore reef makes Waimanalo Beach Park good for swimming, though it isn’t the best snorkeling beach. The beach can get a bit busy on weekends but is usually uncrowded on weekdays. Don’t leave any valuable items in your automobile, and if you are camping at Waimanalo don’t leave any valuables in your tent, even if you are just relaxing on the nearby beach.
