I loved this property! It was clean and fairly well stocked. I loved the extra bonus of having snorkel gear, beach chairs, and a boogie board in the unit! such a nice touch! The view from the lanai is amazing! I loved to sit there as often as possible when I wasn't out on the amazing sands of Kaanapali beach. The whaler is very convenient to The shops in Whalers village and the beaches right outside your door step! (after an elevator ride!) they have 3 elevators so wait time is brief. they also have shopping carts in the parking garage which are very handy for bringing up groceries. The poo...

Her go-to-girl, Mary Mishimi and Patti go out of their way to make your stay everything you want it to be. From Unit 661 you can see the mountains, Whaler's Village and the ocean for sunrises, people watching and sunsets. The Whaler is perfectly situated next to the beach, you can surf and snorkel very close by and there are plenty of places to eat as well as to take a relaxing stroll while taking in the sea breeze. The Condo is great and has everything you could need including a Lanai with Ocean views, a fully equipped kitchen for when you want that home cooked meal and a giant comfortable bed! We will definitely return - there is plenty to do on Maui to keep you entertained.

This condo really exceeded our expectations. Not only is the condo itself beautifully renovated in style, it's location, beach access, view and quietness was everything we hoped for and at such a great price. While it was perfect for 2, it would also accommodate up to 4 persons. It had everything we needed and we actually enjoyed grilling steaks and making many meals ourselves. The Whaler's grounds are lovely and well maintained and it is run like a hotel. The staff were wonderful and accommodating, yet there is no worries about a maid coming in daily or signs to put out. We had a wonderful hawaiian experience as we stayed in this condo. The beach view was wonderful as we sat on the lanai everyday. The condo itself is beautiful (and roomy) with up scale look and feel. Comfortable bed, full kitchen which we used everyday and the barbeque facility downstairs was great!! Modern bath area and shower are all very well done, carpets and whole condo very well maintained..very clean. Shopping and restaurants right next store. The location is perfect. The condo was only a studio but very spacious. The upgrades in the kitchen and bathroom are very nice. My son and I had a wonderful time in Maui and the Whaler is the ideal location in Kannapali, close to Whalers village and perfect beach right out front of the hotel. Had read that the pool was small for complex but everyday we attempted to get a chair there we were able to find one and that typically isn't the case at vacation destinations. Would stay here again without hesitation! The only recommendation was for better sheets for the pullout couch, they were for a king so a little to...

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at 661 in the Whaler. The view was great the location was perfect to get our bearings and enjoy the beautiful Kaanapali beach. The resort staff was friendly and helpful. My only negative comment was that sitting out in the Lanai was slightly less than perfect due to the noise of the mechanical equipment from the restaurants at the Whaler's Village below.

My wife and I recently stayed in this condo for an anniversary/birthday vacation. Having once lived in the area, we were familiar with the resort and knew the location was perfect for us. The interior of the condo matched the location- recently remodeled and very clean and comfortable - would absolutely stay there again in the future.

We stayed here for 1 week and didn't want to leave! It's a great condo, perfect location! Right on the beach literally middle of all the action. Great restaurants, bars and shopping! Except for sight seeing around the other parts of the island you can walk everywhere and don't need a car. You wake up every morning to the gorgeous palm trees and ocean view. We sat on the lania for breakfast every morning and when we got home every evening (at the pool and beach all during the day!). We have stayed at the Whaler before and have stayed in Condo 661 before, as well. Very good location in Maui and will be even better when construction is completed on the Whaler complex. Condo 661 is getting a little dated, but is still nice.

Our recent stay at unit 661 was very enjoyable. It was nice being right next door to Whaler's Village and of course the beach was "right there". The condo's accommodations were very comfortable and we so enjoyed our morning times on the lanai, eating breakfast, listening to the birds and taking in the beautiful ocean view. We would definitely love to return for another relaxing vacation.

We had a lovely time here. The bed was fabulous. We thought it was great to be close enough to walk to the beach and snorkeling. The birds kept time for us, settling into the trees off the lanai at sunset, waking with the sun. Only distraction was a lot of food smells and some noise from whaler's village shopping area, but really, you're in Hawaii, what's to complain about!

Love the Whaler location, bad front desk hospitality, nice room, great view, horrible noise of air conditioning unit and birds. the room was a great price deal unfortunately you have to hear the air condition units and very loud birds early in the morning and right before sunset.

The Whaler is the best place to stay in Maui, this is the third time we have been to the Whaler and have stayed in 3 different units. The location is perfect close to what is going on yet quiet when you want it to be. We like the idea of having a kitchen where we would have breakfast and snacks and afternoon drinks but then go out for a nice dinner. THEY SEEM TO ROLL UP THE BARS OR AMYTHING AROUND 8P.M...WHICH WE WERE TIRED AT NIGHT ANYHOW SO IT WAS BETTER THAT WE WENT TO BED. BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A VERY NICE PLACE TO GO THIS WILL BE IT. Unit 661 exceeded our expectations. Our favorite past time was watching the sun set from the units balcony. What a great view. The only draw back was not being told that the unit was for sale and getting a call from a realtor that she needed to get into the unit for several hours. Not something I want to deal with when I'm on vacation.

The room was fantastic; everything from the extra towels & toiletries, to the sheet on the dresser covering Susan's favorite restaurant, to the view of the ocean was excellent. The condo itself was very spacious ? it did not have the cramped feel of a typical studio; it was actually bigger than some 1-br condos we have seen in our travels. Also the unit is ridiculously cheap for the amenities it had ? it even had free hi-speed internet via Ethernet; we have only ever had that at +4-star resorts, and usually for a fee. It was great to stay in a condo and to have access to a kitchen. We got some groceries and made breakfast and some quick dinners here. We stayed the other 9 nights we were in Hawaii in hotels and it can get very pricey eating out all the time. It was also very quiet, the beach was beautiful and calm.
