Staying here is a MUST...
Can't praise the owners and management of #106 at Napili Bay enough. We just got back from the most amazing week in memory, and this was largely due to such a hospitable condo experience. The beach is a leap away, snorkeling is good, turtles frequent the rocks / coral to the right, and there's even a great little restaurant/bar walking distance up the beach in a neighboring condo that made the whole bay a treasure. The condo had all amenities of home that we needed-- we cooked a lot and the kitchen was stacked with all the right things... cookware, spices, towels, and a dishwasher. #106 was extraordinarily clean, and felt cozy from the walk-in. The lanai was our favorite spot where we enjoyed our meals as we look over the beauty of the island. Huge thumbs up-- we're so going back.

Perfect in every way!
This condo made our already wonderful trip in Hawaii perfect. Upon arrival, we found the condo to be exactly as pictured in the website photos. The owner left us a wonderful gift basket to congratulate us on our anniversary. The view was beautiful and the condo itself was very nicely appointed with top of the line kitchen appliances and amazing granite countertops. The beach at Napili Bay turned out to be one of our favorites on the island - soft and clean sand, protected from afternoon winds, and wonderful off-beach snorkeling. We loved this condo and it's beautiful beachfront views. We truly don't have anything negative to say. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed at unit 203 for 11 nights and have nothing bad to say. We loved it! The proximity to the beach/water is second to none. The sound of the waves were great to go to sleep to. Beautiful BBQ area. Bed was very comfortable. Unit is well equipped with everything you need. Definitely going back!

Wonderful
We spent a week at this wonderful condo. It is just as it appears in the pictures online. Tile throughout the condo was great, beach was great. Although the condo is not right on the beach, it has a great beach view, and its nice and quiet. Location is perfect -- almost "end of the road" feel being that there is not much past Kapalua. Traffic is quite a bit lighter than just down the road at Lahaina. Local shopping and restaurants are good -- not much need at all to go farther than Kapalua. From the glimpse I had of some of the other units in the complex, unit 211 is one of the better remodeled options. We'll definitely be back again!

The snorkeling right in front of the condo is excellent - we saw giant sea turtles every day we were there as well as a wide variety of other sea life. The beach, common areas and the units are kept in immaculate condition. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance in addition to a well stocked super market close by.

THE UNIT WAS STOCKED WITH EVERYTHING YOU MIGHT NEED AND WAS SPICK AND SPAN. wHILE WE WERE THERE, THERE WAS A HAWAIIN BURIAL AT SEA WITH CONCH SHELL PLAYING AND THE WORKS. THE VIEW FROM MY LANAI WAS BREATH-TAKING EVERYWHERE WE LOOKED. WE'LL BE BACK THIS AUGUST.

I mean really what else does one do on a holiday. Perfect, gorgeous, comfortable, wanted to live there home!!!! I so hope and that this home is ours again many many times in our life! May it be so. We have not been back since we recently had a child, but will certainly come back to this unit when our son gets a little older. You cannot get closer to the beach then Napili Bay Resort. It is great to be so close and be able to go back and forth from the beach to your condo to each breakfast and lunch. We typically only ate dinner out to save money, but is great to be able to have the luxury to eat in the condo and on the patio of the unit looking at the beach.

You know you've stayed someplace special when, after more than a year, you still smile when you see a picture of it. In fact, Napili Bay was so wonderful, I have a picture of the view from the room as my screensaver. Napili Bay is in a quiet area, with easy access to the rest of Maui. The beach is imaculate and gently slopes to the ocean. There is a beautiful shade tree right outside your door and it doesn't get too crowded because it is in sort of a cove. We were there for our 25th anniversary and found it perfect for our needs. The unit was quite clean, the bed very comfortable, and the tiled bath was great. Everything was modern with a wonderful, fully equipped kitchen. I prepared several evening meals and breakfast every day, which helped maintain our leisurely pace. It was truly magical to fall asleep every night to the sound of crashing waves just 50 yards away. We were there in June and it was perfectly lovely, no air conditioning was necessary. The view from this room is spectacular and we saw several rainbows after early morning showers. It's just a short ride to some great snorkeling and all the other attractions and about 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Laihaina. My son plans to honeymoon in Maui next year and I will definitely recommend Napili Bay!

Napili Bay Resort Condo 107 provided a lovely vacation spot for my husband and I to spend our 1 year anniversary. Check in was so easy we didn't even need to track anyone down, the instructions given were simple. The studio condo size was just right for the two of us. The condo was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and going to the beach: chairs and boogie boards for the beach, and towels. There is also a grilling area on the premises. Entire condo looked newly remodeled, with nice taste in design. Bed was comfortable and it was very easy to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean waves. Though we were on the first floor privacy was not a problem, since the first floor lanais are raised at about 4 to 5 feet above ground. Views of the beautiful water about 50 ft away from us on the lanai were amazing. The beach was nice too, we saw alot of marine life while snorkeling throughout the day right in front of our condo. The location was nice also because of it being away from the high rises. Yet still a very short walk to a few restaurants and a short 15 minute drive to the town of Lahaina. This was our first trip to Hawaii and we can't wait to visit again! It was so relaxing.

Not secluded or private, it was still a nice stay in a great neighborhood 15 min. from Lahaina.

This was a marvellous, albeit small, condo/studio right on the beach. Napili Bay is wonderful, it was like a family seaside place...no posers, just families, couples, everybody relaxed, chillin'. The suite itself was, as mentioned, very small, and I'm unsure how honeymooners have enjoyed the place given that there is NO privacy (no windows, and you can hear everything going on in every suite!). I enjoyed so many walks along Kapalua Coastal Trail, and "The Village" walk, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this condo again, for location, for comfort, for convenience. It was great.

Napili Resort Condos is the place that everyone dreams about when dreaming of vacationing in Hawaii. You wake up to a cool breeze, the aroma of the ocean filling your head as you arise to look out to a perfect sandy beach not a stone's throw away from your bed. What do you want to do today? Go swimming or snorkeling out your back door? Go surfing down the Maui coast? Maybe go conquer Haleakala Crater? Or maybe just chill all day sippin' a cold one by the beach. Cause guess what, it's Maui, and you're on vacation. With an amazingly serene location, Napili Bay Resort Condos offers superior privacy, cleanliness and quality. This condo offered us the freedom that we were hoping for on our honeymoon- the opportunity to come and go as we please, cook what we wanted in our own private kitchen, and be on the shore the entire time.

I stayed here with my adult daughter and we both loved it. The condo is located right on the beach, so the view is gorgeous. Having a balcony was wonderful. We sat out there regularly. There is no direct access to the beach from the balcony which made us feel very safe. Access on either end of the building was very convenient. I had been concerned that it would be hot or noisy with there only being screens & blinds on the windows, but that was not the case at all. It was great hearing the waves on the beach. There is a grocery store up the street and the kitchen was fully stocked for preparing food. Being right on the beach we ran back and forth for meals, snacks & drinks. It could not have been more convenient. There were boogie boards, beach chairs & towels. The condo was very cozy and had everything that we needed. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet, low-key place to stay.

Right on a beautiful beach with great snorkeling, how could anyone possibly screw this up? Well, have rude, disrespetful, and unaccountable management/owners. When we found a huge cockroach nest in our kitchen cabinets and coffee pots; management was nowhere to found. Call the phone # on the office door- too bad, wrong person- call someone else- the number is in the book someplace-get their voicemail-no response ever. But when its time to leave and your scramling to go but 15 minutes late, now they (Andrea?? owner of an adjacent condo)shows up to push you out the door, verbally chastising us along the way as if we were squatting. She even blamed us for not calling the "right" Managers # when dealing with the cockroaches. This treatment to "guests" paying a lot of money, coming during a major recession where the place was half empty, is mindboggling. Your vacation is too valuable to risk staying here. If something goes wrong (and it will at some point), your completly on your own and you may even get yelled at. There are plenty of other nice affordable places in Napili to stay. We didn't even initially mind a run-in with cockroaches-this is the tropics, but we would expect someone will help get rid of a huge nest or at least return our call. Despite the great beach, we won't ever stay at this place again. They don't deserve your business, stay someplace they will treat you with some respect.

BC Island Guys from Gabriola Island, British Columbia, Canada on 05/02/2009 said:
The Napili Bay complex is a great place to stay. We've spent two vacations there and loved them both. Unit 207 offers lots of amenities, it has everything you could possibly want during your vacation. It's clean and relatively spacious. The lanai offers absolutely spectacular views from sunrise to sunset. It's a quiet complex at night (other than the pounding surf), we rarely heard noise from other guests past 9:00 PM. The only two negative things we have to say about unit 207 is that it's time for a general updating, fresh paint, updating the shower/bathroom area - that kind of thing. The other minor criticism is that there needs to be a decent set of kitchen knives - the ones that are there just "don't cut it". We ended up doing a lot of our own cooking this year to save some money and decided to buy a few knives to use while there. In our opinion the area of Napili Bay is the best location on Maui. You don't have the crowds and bustle of Kihei or Lahania - but they're both close enough when you're ready for that! The north-west part of Maui offers the best snorkeling on the island, much of it in Napili Bay or the two neighbouring bays Honokeana or Kapalua - couldn't be closer. This year we gave up waiting for 30 - 45 minutes to get into the Gazebo restaurant (right next door in Honokeana Cove) for breakfast (holiday time is way too precious to be standing waiting to get into a restaurant). Instead we went to the other end of Napili Bay to the Sea House Restaurant which is part of the Napili Kai resort. We were surprised to find excellent value (breakfast for two $20), outstanding service, and delicious food. All of this with no wait to get in and an outstanding ocean front view. There are cheaper places to stay on Maui, but if you're looking in the Napili area for an ocean front condo, you'd be hard pressed to find better value. We've done lots of looking around at similar units and the Napili Bay still comes out ahead of many others. Mahalo!

We selected this condo because of our son's island wedding on July 7, 2007. Not only was that a very lucky number for us, it proved to be a paradise of casual Hawaii with the beachfront location, complete with the rolling waves, gentle breezes, and fabulous view. From our first positive impression with a gift of Hawaiian fruit, candies and nuts, this was a perfect spot for several families to gather. The manager, Lee, was always very courteous and friendly and made us feel very welcome, especially with our nightly gatherings at the grill area for family meals and fun. The grounds were also well groomed and tidy. The private beach access found us loving the ocean waves and an uncrowded, uncluttered beach for sunning, strolling, and exploring. We will definitely return in the future, hoping to find the condo facility as clean and as well kept as before! It was a perfect getaway, with all the comforts of home, and then some! And there is easy access to a small shopping mall nearby. The only drawback was limited parking, but the place was full, which is a good indicator of a visitor's satisfaction to Napili Bay Resort, one away from the more tourist-driven ones. Our experience there enabled all of us to feel the Aloha spirit.

This was our third stay at Napili Bay (first time in this unit). We have always stayed on the 2nd floor overlooking the beach (in 1999, 2001, and 2008). We love the view and sleeping to the sound of the ocean. The beach is a perfect, beautiful, calm crescent. The units are simple, but more than adequate for our needs. They may not be elegant, but are well-stocked with the basics one needs to live comfortably. There is no need for A/C, given the constant breeze off the ocean. In general it is a quiet, family-friendly area, but the locals enjoy this stretch of beach as well, and one night we were kept up until the early morning by some folks hanging out in front of the property (all beaches in Hawaii are public property - so this might be a problem wherever one stayed). This was the first time we knew about the gazebo restaraunt two properties down the beach. They have the best breakfast food I have ever eaten - and the long lines to prove it! Do not miss it!!

Every comfort of home, in a setting so beautiful that no picture can do it justice. Your eyes just have to see it. Located on the second floor, it offers a wonderful view of the beach and ocean, nothing blocking the view. The property is small, so not too crowded or much noise. Everything was so clean and well kept from the parking lot, to the beach itself, and of course the inside of the unit. If you enjoy low key beaches, being near, but not IN the "night life", and having a place that really feels like you live there...this is the place for you. Can't say enough about it, even wrote a review on TripAdvisor.com about how much we love it. My husband and I went there on our honeymoon in Aug. of 2007. At night we could listen to the sound of the waves rolling up on the beach and enjoy a moonlit walk along the crescent shaped beach. The bay itself was excellent for snorkeling and swimming as well as for light scuba diving. The studio like room was nicely kept and quiet from the adjoining rooms. The kitchenette was also a plus for cooking as well as the outdoor BBQ and washer/dryer in the common area.I highly recommend this condo for those who don't need all of the five star luxuries of a large hotel. Our stay was part of our honeymoon...We loved Hawaii...

We especially enjoy the fact that this condo is RIGHT on the beach and literally a stones throw from the ocean. The condo when clean and in good repair and had great views of the area. We enjoyed morning walks near the well known local golf course and the Pineapple plantation area. One suggestion; it would be nice if the Lanai furniture had bar stools rather than regular chairs since the existing chairs are too low to sit on and see over the lanai wall.
Napili truly paradise!

Our stay at Napili Bay was like our own little slice of heaven. We were in Maui for business and our company booked us at Hyatt Maui and I decided to add on 4 extra days and found Napili Bay Condo's on Trip Advisor, what a find!!! We far more enjoyed our stay here than at the Hyatt, falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves, waking up to crystal clear tropical water view each morning with the island of Lanai (?)surrounded by what appeared to be Bali hi clouds was nothing less than magical. What a laid back slice of heaven our stay was. We talked endlessly that we wished we spent all 9 days here. Plus I would highly recommend a must do of going to the gazebo restaurant 2 doors down, was recommended by rachel ray as well as the locals, again another WOW... the macadamian nut pancakes with the homemade cocunut syrup was sinfully delicious. Was a lil bit worried that the fire upgrade installation would be a problem but never heard a peep, had no impact at all. Lovely stay telling everyone about it & definitely coming back again!

We love staying at Napili Bay Resort condos and we have stayed there several times in different units but always on the ocean side. At first we couldn't sleep because of the sounds from the ocean. By the end of our stay we noticed that the crashing of the waves actually helped us to drop off each night because of their rythmic beat. Watching the sun rise and set each day from our balcony was poetic and swimming in the bay was a new experience each day. Being able to sit on the beach, sneak up to the condo for drinks or snacks and then go back down within minutes was so fantastic. The units are close enought to Lahaina but far enough away to let you really relax. Napili Bay has to be the best kept secret of Maui and I wish I was there right now!

This was our 4th time staying at Napili Bay, we just love it there, exactly enough room for the two of us, lovely quiet family beach, close to my husbands conference site. The property is a bit older but neat and clean and well maintained. Amazing outdoor BBQ site, great views, great sunsets, SO close to the ocean. Anyone lucky enough to stay in this little enclave will be truly satisfied. We have booked through Aloha condos twice on the Big Island and once elsewhere in Maui and have always been well pleased :)

We spent a week at Napili Bay in September of 2008. After a couple of days of driving to visit other places on the island we realized Napili Bay was the place to spend our time. We really enjoyed the view from our second floor unit's lanai. The sunsets were great. Being right on the beach was a definite plus. The grounds were very nicely maintained but the big feature was the beach. You can't beat that beach. The unit was small but sufficient for two people. The kitchen has been nicely remodeled. Although there is no air conditioning, we had no issues with heat. Noise did not seem to be a problem either. On the slightly negative side, the wicker furniture was not especially comfortable and the bed was average, at best. However, this is a beautiful spot. Everything you need is close at hand. We plan a return visit.

Great location with very good snorkelling and swimming right outside the unit, steps from the beach. It's a very comfortable unit with a great view, and very comfortable lanai chairs to admire it while having breakfast, lunch, cocktails etc. The staff is very helpful. Just a couple of things we'd have liked to have had to make the stay even more perfect: bamboo beach mats, and a diary where visitors can add their comments about their stay and places they've found/activities/restaurants they particularly enjoyed.

We had always stayed in hotels when we came to Hawaii, but we brought our parents for their 50th Wedding Anniversary and knowing they just wanted to relax we went with Napili Bay condos. As it turns out we wouldn't stay any other way. Having our own kithen, we packed groceries from around the corner & enjoyed living right on the beach just feet from the water. Great snorkeling & sea turtles right in our bay. Just walk a few feet to our pad for an afternoon nap, and in the evening we barbequed right there. We explored the dining & nightlife in town, but ultimately preferred hanging at our home by the sea. Extremely convenient, and the sunsets at Napili Bay are spectacular.

I am not a fan of big chain resort hotels, so when I found Napili Bay Condos after an extensive search of private rentals on Maui, I could breath easily. The view outside of the complex was breathtaking. The cove that the complex is located on is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The resort was small, cozy and quiet. I never even realized there were other guests staying there. My boyfriend and I were able to save a little bit of money by buying groceries at the market and eating/snacking in the condo instead of eating every meal out. The only complaint I have, and it's minor, is that the bed is really hard. Nothing an foam egg crate can't fix though! I highly recommend Napili Bay to anyone traveling to Maui.

This place may have been upgraded by now, but when we stayed there, it was old and creaky. The ceiling fan had one speed, slow. The refridgerator is in the room with you and it cycles on and off all night. The room is on the beach with a high pressure sodium street light shining in the room all night. No a/c. Kids congregated under the under the street lamp and drank and partied until 2 in the morning. Local police and the management were not helpful. No utensils of any worth in the kitchen. No BBQ tools by the BBQ, either. Flannel sheets on the bed with temperatures hovering at a chilly 76 degrees for the low. It was 12 sleepless nights of endless noise, heat, humidity and sweat. We contacted the rental place upon our return with some of our concerns and were pretty much blown off! Be careful to note whether there is a non-refundable deposit involved should you wish to reserve time here. Enjoy your stay...

This was our first time to the islands, and were looking for a place to just plain ol' relax and rest. After LOTS of online research, we realized that a quiet place away from the hustle of tourist activity (but close enough to tourist activity as an option), a swimmable beach with nearby snorkeling and a nice restaraunt or two nearby was our goal. Our stay at Condo #211 was the perfect fit! The access is literally on the beach, and we were able to both swim and snorkel within steps of our unit. Since we are not sun people per se, the large umbrella tree in front of the condo served us well every day, providing shade and a front row seat to the water. The building is older, but the owner has done a nice job remodeling this unit. It does indeed look just like the camera views on the website. Our view was perfect and we didn't regret at all not having a beachfront room. (Didn't regret not having a pool either!). We reccomend you stop at Costco after picking up your rental car upon arrival if you don't plan on eating out every day. Whenever we didn't feel like cooking, we walked a short walk down the beach to the Sea Island restaraunt (directly on the beach with amazing water views) and ate 1/2 price appetizers (pupas) for dinner during the happy hour. Their breakfasts were also excellent and more reasonably priced than the much touted Gazebo Restaraunt. I am writing this review becasue I read so many reviews from people who took the time to share their experiences, and their helpful hints took away my first time trepidation in going to Maui and staying at a lesser known place (as well as booking from the internet). The instructions provided by Chuck for our check in were excellent and we had no trouble whatsover. We definitely reccomend Unit #211 if you aren't stuck on a high end, high priced room and are looking for a family type atmosphere that is friendly, comfortable, relaxing but within arm's reach of any tourist fun Maui offers...

We stayed at the condo for 9 nights in December and had a wonderful time. The condo looks old from the outside but has been completely renovated. The kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and nice cabinets. The bathroom is also re-done and the view is beautiful if you sit on the left side of the balcony. The only negative is that there is not a sofa or love seat so you have to sit by yourself but overall the condo is wonderful. The place has a prime location on napili bay and the snorkeling is great. You are also walking distance to some great places to eat that are actually affordable. We would recommend this condo and would consider going back if we venture back out to Hawaii.

There are ample utensils and dishes. Furnishings and decorations are in very good taste. The bed is very comfortable. Enough beach toys to satisfy a couple of old folks. The staff (of one, I think) is very friendly and remembered us. Restaurants at each end of the beach are very nice. The "Country Store" met most of our immediate needs. Best of all - it is quiet. Bathroom very clean. Napili is an ideal location, too, because you are close to Kapalua and Kahana and only a (pretty) 20 minute drive to Lahaina. We'd definitely stay here again!

Because of the positive reviews on tripadvisor's website, we booked Napili Bay Condos, unit 211. We didn't spend much daylight time in the condo, but enjoyed the view and amenities when we did. We were a stairwell away from a gorgeous beach, a 5 minute walk down the beach from the best breakfast on the island (try The Gazebo's banana or white chocolate chip pancakes while you watch sea turtles and whales in the water), and just a short drive from Lahaina. We were also close to the golf course, the famous Nakalele blowhole, the beautiful North Shore scenery, shopping, entertainment, etc. The room was so comfy, the bathroom and kitchen recently remodeled and beautiful. We had cable for the nights before we fell asleep, and enjoyed the airy screened windows and door to our balcony. We weren't used to the loud surf and did have trouble sleeping some nights, but we were in Maui, so we didn't care. We plan on booking the same condo someday when we get to return to the island.

Me and my wife stayed at this wonderful # 211 condo between May 6th and 9th. I think Napili location has got to be the best in the area, close enough to Lahaina for dinner and a stroll, with great access to all West Maui beaches and not in a highly populated resort area. The condo albeit small is beautifully furnished, new bathroom and kitchen and is still very confortable. The owners really want their place taken good care so if you are kind of careless you may feel slightly annoyed by the reminder signs. Anyway, they add to make you find a very clean and tidy place. When choosing a condo in this complex please make sure that it has been recently updated as is the case with 211. I would also recommend this appartment because of its beautiful side view (of the sea, sunset and beach) without having to pay beachfront prices. Chuck Buser from Aloha condos was great managing the reservation and payment. Deanne who manages the property was also very helpful and nice.

The Napili Bay condos were awesome! We stayed in unit 211 for 5 nights on our honeymoon (July 8 – 13) and it was the highlight of our time in Hawaii. We contacted Aloha Condos and the entire process went off without a hitch. The pictures on the website are 100% accurate (down to the rolled green towels you'll find waiting on the bed). The condo is gorgeous and clean. There are tons of ceiling fans which kept the air moving and the condo comfortable. Having access to the washers/dryers was clutch and we had no trouble finding a time when they were available. The condo is stocked with helpful items: boogie board, beach chairs, beach mats, towels, umbrella, etc. The kitchen was also stocked with everything we needed to make a few easy meals. (Note about groceries and gas - everyone warned us about how much it would cost in Hawaii. But coming from the Boston area there was only a slight price increase for both!) The views from the condo lanai are terrific. Most places which advertise ocean view have a sliver of ocean if you hang off the lanai - not here. The view is fabulous and we had breakfast everyday soaking in the view. We loved the Napili Bay area. The beach is fun and the water is great. You can jump right in and see fish in the clear water. It is a short drive to Lahaina but there are great restaurants close by as well! We 100% recommend unit 211! We’re already dreaming of a return trip!!

We really loved Napili Bay Resort. Was a little hard to find after a long flight late at night. But woke up our first morning to a full moon setting at sunrise, unbelievable. This particular unit is immaculate. Second floor, brand new inside. Great view from lanai. Nice vibe around the property overall. Beach was great, but we didn't spend much time there, preferred to wander around the island... but it was beautiful and you could be very happy sitting there all day, I promise. Only downsides to consider... if you want privacy, this is a typical Hawaii condo, which means no AC, open windows, and you can hear everything that all of your neighbors are saying or doing... and they can hear you. No pool here either, which was no big deal for us, as the ocean is amazing, but if you are looking for more of the traditional resort-y experience, this is not the place for you. Pay three times as much and stay at the Westin down the road. But if you want to stay at a clean, modern, and beautiful location right on the beach, and are looking for a great deal. This is it. Stop looking at that other stuff and just book it. Hear me?
