Fabulous Fabulous!
I stayed here for 5 nights with my 2.5 yr old daughter and it was beyond our expectations. I stopped at the Safeway in Kahului to buy Clorox wipes, among other things, as I usually clean hotel rooms and such upon arrival. I never used the wipes. The condo was impeccably clean and well-stocked. It's the only place I have not given a good wipe-down in years of travel. It was a great start the moment I opened the door! This was the perfect place to stay. Not only was the condo fabulous but the location is ideal. The building itself is on the smaller side and quiet---no hotel doors banging shut at 5am or loud people late into the night. However, there is a large resort right next door which allows for a 2 minute walk to eat at a restaurant while overlooking the ocean---without the daily resort fee! It's just steps to the sand from the lanai and the view is unbelievable. I was able to enjoy the view and feel as if I was on the beach while my daughter napped in the afternoons, opening the windows on the lanai and reading in the sun. I highly recommend this condo for anyone who wants to enjoy the beach and ocean as much as possible during their trip. Booking was a breeze, the directions for driving to and accessing the condo were concise and accurate, and there was not a single glitch in my stay. The housekeeper/caretaker of the condo even called on my last full day there to see if I needed anything and to assure my checkout would be seamless, as well. I almost hesitate to give a good review for fear of competition when booking for another visit next year! ; )

A Week in Paradise
This was my second visit to Maui Kai 504. It was as fantastic as the first! The reservation process was very easy and quick with no confusions or mistakes. The condo is in the perfect location, right on the beach! The view off the lanai, exceptional and private. The condo itself was decorated in wonderful island style and was very comfortable. Outfitted with everything we needed, it once again proved to be home away from home. This condo holds a very special place in our hearts! Maui is such a beautiful island and Maui Kai 504 is perfectly situated and appointed to enjoy every bit of it.

What a Great Experience!
Shayla (the owner) was great to work with & was fair on the pricing. The cleaners (Kathy) had everything prepared very nice. All the little extras anyone could want. Just show up with your bathing suit & you are ready for fun.

Even better than advertised!
We recently enjoyed a 10-day stay at Maui Kai Beach Resort unit 206. When we arrived, the unit was in sparkling condition, including all promised amenities in excellent working condition and then some. A gift basket containing fresh local fruit and other goodies was an especially pleasant surprise. As promised, the location of this condo was ideal for beach and especially whale watching; we saw many whales every day from the comfort of our room. We even saw large sea turtles in the ocean right below our window a couple of times. The wall bed was comfortable, and it was nice to be able to put the bed away during the day, allowing us more space for other activities during the day. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed. The owners also provided a well-organized notebook with recommendations for local activities, restaurants, etc. The condo location is truly ocean front; from our room, we were often closer to the ocean than many people actually sitting on the beach next door. There is also a nice, paved "beachwalk" that starts one property south of the Maui Kai and goes all the way down to the south end of Kaanapali beach. This made it easy to walk to other parts of the beach for snorkeling and swimming and avoided parking headaches. The pool at the condo complex is small, but the spa is large and relaxing. The condo complex is nicely situated within easy walking distance of several grocery stores, a farmer's market, interesting shops and restaurants. This was our first visit to Maui, and we would not hesitate to stay at Maui Kai unit 206 again.

The onsite amenities are very good, pool, recreation room, etc. Parking was not an issue and the onsite staff are very friendly. The condo itself was okay, but it is in need of some updating. A bathroom ceiling tile (yes the old fashioned T-Bar) fell out while my daughter was showering and the vertical blinds kept falling out; and the unit had a dank smell, maybe due to the building's age or proximaty to the ocean. It was just felt old and dark. Having said this however, the location did in part make up for the condos shortfalls (somewhat). Tiling the floors and updating the bathroom would go a long long way. ”

“ The review we received is the only negative one we have ever received and we are sorry that your feelings about the apartment are negative. The apartment is regularly updated, this one in Q4, 2007 to Q2, 2008, less than five months before your visit. All overstuffed furniture, carpets, cloth on wooden furniture, lights, mattresses, entertainment centers remodeled with all new electronics including DVR and Blu-Ray, the complete lanai including concrete, glass windows and door, bathroom shower enclosure, all tile to granite in kitchen, and even the kitchen sink were replaced; and all furniture resurfaced as needed. The entire apartment was repainted, etc.
The verticals come down in heavy trade winds when the wind interlock doors are not used and the vanes are not opened to where the glass can protect them. We replace them with a call. All tile floors are a problem for people's feet and are a matter of taste, and usually are done for a reduction in cost of flooring.
We provide in your entry papers for orientation and codes, on the front door, refrigerator, and the orientation book the number to call for service of any kind if the apartment is not right. That apartment is not dank, dated, or old. It turns out that the building maintenance people did some work on the building water system above the ceiling in the bathroom, which has T Bar for access to A/C work and other property items, without notifying us, or the service, between rentals. They created the problem. Our policy is to relocate a guest immediately to another equivalent unit when any problem occurs that cannot be handled immediately, which this could not. It requires a phone call. We apologize that you did not care for your stay. But Oh, how we wish we had received a phone call.

I really felt as though I was taking a giant gamble, as I knew nothing about Maui. I can't tell you how lucky I felt that I chose the Maui Kai, in particular, Condo 108. That it was right on the beach provided so much ease for us-- my daughter woke up each day saying, "Ocean, ocean." We met lovely families who were staying in the area, and it was just perfectly located for the slow beach days we craved. The condo itself is lovely and comfortable, and the kitchen is ridiculously well stocked with any bowl or utensil or pot you could want. It enabled us to have tremendous freedom in our day. I would recommend the condo to anyone-- it was perfect and we loved our stay. ”

“ We stayed here in September and we are still talking about the wonderful time we had. The condo is even better than the pictures. We will be staying here on our next vacation to Maui. When we arrived there was a beautiful basket of fruit and candy to welcome us. It was a lovely touch. But the VIEW was the best part, it was just breath taking, I can still see the ocean in my minds eye as I write. To wake up to that view was amazing. You just open the door and you are on the beach! The resort next door was a nice place to go for morning coffee or even breakfast and dinner. We would stop there in the morning before our walk on the beach. The condo was perfect and there was a book filled with information about the area, places to eat, where to get groceries, entertainment, just everything you would need to get around. We will never forget our visit, your condo made our vacation perfect. ”

Spectacular view which includes Molokai. I especially enjoyed the view from the kitchen when cooking. The condo was well furnished and clean with a great breeze throughout [barely used the A/C]. The staff at the Maui Kai was very helpful and also at the maid service [called for extra towels]. Ample close parking. The kids enjoyed the pool. The rental process was simple and smooth. We received our deposit back before we'd returned home. :D ”

“ We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Maui Kai!! It was our first time staying on the West side; normally we stay in Kihei or the North Shore (Paia). It was so nice to be close to Lahaina and Kaanapali. The condo was clean, well stocked, and the gift basket was a really nice touch. It was great to be able to open the door to our lanai and walk literally 5 steps until sand hit our toes!! And having the clean water faucet right outside our door was nice what with two toddlers and all their sandy limbs and beach toys. Since we were so close to the water, we saw probably 10-15 whale breaches a day right from our condo lanai - it was just amazing!! Only negative and it is very, very slight, is that the beach outside the condo had a pretty strong shore break and undertow. It might have just been the time of year we went there....but it was strong enough that we didn't go swimming outside our condo and instead drove to other nearby beaches to do our swimming. Other than that, we had a fabulous time and we hope to return again soon!! ”

I planned our vacation over 1 year ago and had many email conversations with Lyn Magorne, the owner, asking different questions. Lyn made me feel very comfortable and excited about renting directly from an owner. We have not done that before. She could not have been more accommodating! The condo was so clean, which is one of my number one requirements. We would sit on the lanai every morning and evening and watch the whales and dolphins. I lost count we saw so many! The Maui Kai is located directly on the beach. Just go out the lobby door and you are on the beach! I only wish we were still on the lanai! It was exactly what we were looking for- a clean, quiet, safe, not run-down place where we can make and eat our own food, in the middle of everything, right on the beach so we don't have to drive to it, and with a spectacular view from our lanai so don't feel "stuck" in our place when the kids were sleeping. It was just a little cramped for our family of 4 but it was fine. We knew it was a one bedroom before we booked it and expected this. By the way, if our kids were older, they could have stayed up later and slept on the sofabed and I don't think it wouldn't have felt that way.... Also, we never closed our lanai sliding doors (the entire ocean facing wall was glass) because we loved hearing the ocean sounds our entire 9 day stay. Even booking it was super easy online. We all (including my 5 year old) still talk about it and miss it a couple of months later. We decided we have to stay here again the next time we go to Maui. ”

We traveled with our two children aged 9 and 11 and would recommend this place to other families wishing to get their own space and get away from the bustle of the resort hotels. The place has a fantastic location right on the beach front, and I mean right on the beach front! Step out of the condo and you are on the beach. Two more steps and you are in the sea! The views are great. Every apartment must get the fantastis view we had. Completely uninterrupted views out to sea. The apartment we stayed in was spotless, and the same could be said of the rest of the place. It is kept in very good order with the BBQ cleaner than I can get my own. The apartment is big enough for two but a little cramped for a family of four, but you knew what we were doing before we booked. The sofa bed in the living room is not the world's most comfortable but what sofa bed is. The unit is so well stocked with the needs of the traveler. Every kitchen utensil is provided as is beach gear, coolers, snorkel sets, iPod dock, good cable package, the list goes on. The place is ideal if you want to get away for some peace and quiet. If you want big pools, resort entertainment, loud music and loud people then go elsewhere. If you want to relax and kick back with your own cooking on the lanai and watch the sea with some cold ones, then this is the place for you. ”

“ We stayed in two different condos during our two weeks in the Maui Kai to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. This condo was nicely appointed and has a very comfortable bed with a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding islands from the lanai and of the in-land mountain valley from the bedroom. We only stayed a few days here, and it looked like the cleaning staff decided not to dust or sweep the floors before we arrived, but that didn't detract from the wonderful dinners we had on the lanai, or the romantic sunsets. The Maui Kai really is the closest condo to the water in the Kaanapali Beach area and the staff, grounds, pool, and overall environment were all top notch. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for a quiet stay on Maui with all the beauty and local amenities that the Hyatt, Sheraton, and Ritz have to offer as well as all the comforts of home. ”

Leaving was the most difficult part, and if we could have stayed longer, we certainly would have. We took comfort that at the end of the day after going on an excursion around the island that we were coming back to comfortable furnishings, an excellent kitchen, and a nice shower. We loved sitting out on the lanai in the morning, taking in the gorgeous views. The location was great because we were close to some excellent food options and were able to get down to the shops in Lahaina. The beaches were beautiful, and the community was very clean and well kept. Our time there flew by and we did not want to leave. You have a wonderful piece of paradise. Mahalo for sharing it with us. Everyone on the grounds were extremely friendly. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends or anyone considering vacationing in Maui. The room was stocked with everything you'd possibly need and the Safeway down the street made grocery shopping less expensive. The condo was perfectly clean and decorated in nice Hawaiian accents. We spent so much time sitting on the lanai just watching the waves, whales, and kite-surfers. We also took in all the visitor sites. Overall on a scale of 1-10, I'd say we had an 11. We are very excited about returning for a ten day third visit this May 2. We never tire of this unbelievable oceanfront property. We always enjoy sitting on the lanai in the morning (java in hand) watching the wonderful sea parade of whales, spinner dolphins and sea turtles. Later we mosey on down to the awesome sandy beach and take a dip in the waves. If you are not a beach lover there is a pool close by. We are always impressed with how well the grounds are cared for, lush greens and beautiful flowers abound. The condo itself is immaculate, with a well stocked kitchen and furnished with lovely tropical decor. All the niceties of home right here. Did I mention the gorgeous sunsets and colorful rainbows? We would highly recommend this condo to honeymooners, couples or small families. The price is very reasonable too. Al and Lyn, the owners are wonderful people. They want you to have the BEST EVER ALOHA EXPERIENCE at their little slice of Heaven, Maui Kai Unit 504...and WE ALWAYS DO. ”

Stay at the Maui Kai

“ Quite a few years back we stayed at this resort, and i use that name loosely. The actual apartment was done very nicely; the view of the ocean is very good. There's no reception area per se; the overall building reminds me of a tenement in a poor neighborhood and the pool is across the parking lot surrounded by concrete blocks. There is NO beachfront as there is no beach in front...only ocean. A retaining wall protects the lobby from the ocean rushing in. The shower in the apartment overflowed to the apartment below and not by any fault of ours. My wife and I are very careful and clean when we stay in someone else's apartment. Wouldn't recommend this rental building at all. ”

“ Since 2004, we have completely redecorated and made several other upgrades such as an additional granite counter with new maple cabinets in the bathroom, new living room and dining room furnishings and balcony high table and swivel chairs on the lanai. A problem with the shower at the time was quickly remedied. Maui Kai is a smaller structure constructed of cement block which helps to eliminate noise compared to some of the large hotel-type buildings. As Maui Kai has the closest proximity to the ocean in West Maui, it is regularly maintained including re-spalling of the building, new paint and trim. The landscaping of the building has been upgraded with many Hawaiian flowers, plants, and waterfalls.
The pool and spa are part of a larger cabana area which includes an indoor kitchen, bathrooms, computer with printer, ping-pong table, and library. Outside is a large area for sunbathing and visiting, a covered picnic area, and gas barbecues. Perhaps his visit was during one of the rare storms that could bring in high surf and reduce the beach temporarily. However, North Ka'anapali Beach in front of Maui Kai actually stretches for three miles, all the way to Black Rock.
Maui Kai is not a hotel with one a grandiose entryway, but it does have a pleasant sitting area for resting and visiting now complete with orchids and newer furniture as well as free morning coffee and newspapers for purchase. Maui Kai is a location guests enjoy returning to year after year. ”

“ From the second we walked in to this condo, we were wowwed by everything, from the furnishings to the view, this condo is unbelievable! Newly remodeled with granite countertops, tile flooring, and full fun closet including snorkle gear, boogie boards, umbrellas, childrens beach toys, lawn chairs, coolers.....Lyn (owner) has everything that you need here to feel like home. This condo is very clean....you could eat off the floors! The lanai is wonderful. I sat on the patio furniture for hours just watching the whales breaching from the ocean front view through the binnoculars which were also supplied for us. The beach right in from is also a perfect spot for tanning and swimming. There is also a gated pool and hottub area with public BBQ's and games room. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone, being a family or just a couple, who like the finer things in life! ”

You are truly "on the beach" as soon as you step outside the building, and the sunset views from the lanai just absolutely cannot be beat. We walked the entire stretch of beach and are convinced that we picked the best place to stay for our family. Our kids found a new favorite sport with snorkeling and they were able to do it right in front of the condo, so there was no need to pack a bunch of equipment any distance. Unit 301 is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed all of the extras - the beach towels, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, and every kitchen item you could possibly need. After going to the market across the street, we were able to make many meals at the condo and keep up with our son's ever increasing appetite without having to constantly go in search of food. The grounds are beautiful and are constantly being tended by a very friendly staff. We hope to return to Maui again soon and we would absolutely stay at the Maui Kai, and especially unit 301, again. Thanks to Mark, Shayla, and Kathy for such great service and for sharing this beautiful place with our family! ”

Unit 301 is very well appointed with up to date decor and finishes throughout. The owner has thought of including in the unit, everything you need for a relaxing and trouble free vacation. There's everything from sunscreen to snorkle gear in the unit for guests to use. The view from the lanai is like none other, especially with the hundreds of whales breaching and accompanying their babies in the waters off this coastline. We never tired of seeing them. The owners and housekeeping staff went out of their way to be of assistance and answer all our questions. When we arrived, there was a fruit basket waiting for us which included enough fruit and cookies for our entire stay and an aloha canvas tote bag to use during our stay and to take home. We loved everything about our stay in Unit 301 and there was nothing essential missing. The only suggestion we would offer is to make wireless internet available for those who may wish to stay in touch with the outside world. ”

When we arrived, there was a beautiful welcome basket waiting for us with fresh fruit, chocolates, and coconut cookies. What a wonderful treat after being on such a long flight. The accomodations were immaculate and the view, well what can I say? It was spectacular. The view actually created a problem for us since it was so beautiful we didn't want to leave the lanai! Every morning we were treated to seeing Sea Turtles or Manta Ray's swimming by. We also adopted a group of birds that came to visit us every morning for breakfast. You could really tell that the management company cared about the property. Everytime we did pull ourselves away from the lanai to venture out and explore the island we saw somebody cleaning or performing upkeep on the property. Shayla's attention to detail is amazing. Everything we could ever need was there. My husband and I were just in awe that somebody could think of everything. It made for such a pleasant experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you Shayla!! ”

Maui Kai 301 is Ideally located with easy access to the elevator and being a corner unit it offers awesome views in all directions from the patio. We skipped the mirrored bedroom with king size bed and chose to sleep on the spacious lanai in a very comfortable futon. Here after much stargazing we were "lullabied" to sleep by waves crashing on the shore, literally, directly beneath us. At dawn surreal pink and purple colors spread across the water and sky, perfectly framed by palm tree branches. I took a video from my bed to prove I wasn't dreaming. The owners have decorated with large canvases of local photos that are enough to inspire the artist in everyone. All the appliances, dishware and furnishings are top notch, making tasks simple, meals feel elegant and even taste better! I was especially pleased with the water filter pitcher and very roomy refrigerator. The walk-in shower with luxurious showerhead is phenominal and the towels are thick and soft. Another nice touch is that many extras are provided like candles, spices, condiments, games and books, boogie boards, beach mats and even sunblock. Just like the owners other unit in Hana, its hard to need anything. :) Infact its so comfortable its easy to be lulled into just laying around appreciating it all. But if you can move yourself outdoors the beach in front of the condo and next door is really great for swimming, waves and snorkeling out around the buoys. AND there is a patio area with lounge chairs for getting sun without sand if its too windy. ”

“ We spent 10 days at the Maui Kai 301. I should say 10 days in the Maui Kai 301 because we didn't want to go out. It is a perfect spot. Any closer to the water and you would have to swim. The lanai is comfortable with an unobstructed 180 view and privacy. The condo is like a home with everything you could want for a great vacation. We cooked in most nights and the kitchen was very well equipped. There were beach toys, a comfortable bed and a great shower. The location was perfect for long walks on the beach and food. We found the best Mai Tai's around next door for $4. After 10 days in the Maui Kai 301 we spent 3 days in the owners other condo at the Hana Kai. We were reluctant to make the drive but we are glad we did. It's not so bad if you take it slow. It is very green and very different from the rest of Maui. Hana is quiet and peaceful with amazing waterfalls and beaches. Once again the condo had everything you would need and was very charming and comfortable. We didn't have any trouble with noisy neighbors but it could be the luck of the draw. The condo overlooks a black sand beach and it's walking distance to the little town. We had a great dinner at the Hana Hotel and and a couples outdoor massage while listening to the ocean. We have been to Maui many times but never left so relaxed or so upset to have to leave. I would highly recommend both condo's and I would not miss the opportunity to stay a few days in Hana. We are booking again a year in advance to be sure we get to return. ”

“ This is the second time we have stayed at Maui Kai Unit 301. Although we thought it was great the first time we stayed four years ago, we were thrilled at how this unit has been updated. It is absolutely beautiful. If being near the ocean is a priority, this is the best place to stay. You can sit on your lanai and watch the whales and sea turtles all day long. The owners have thought of everything when furnishing this unit, even including beach chairs and boogie boards for the kids. My husband and I and our two 17 year old boys had more than enough room. After staying here, we have all decided this is so much better than staying at a crowded and cramped hotel, regardless of how nice the hotels in the area are. This was cheaper than the hotels on Maui and you get much more for your money. There is a grocery store across the street and we enjoyed not having to go out to restaurants for every meal. Nothing beats enjoying your breakfast or dinner on the lanai while your watching the whales or the sunset. We would not stay anywhere else on the island and look forward to staying here again. ”

Are only bad incident was the first night my husband was stuck on one of the elevators for a couple hours. It was very difficult to get help. He called on the elevator phone, but it seemed like it took forever for them to come. One of the maintence people did try to help unsuccessfully. Needless to say though, we would love to come back! ”

One of our favorite parts of 301 was spending the early morning out on the lanai, with a large cup of coffee and the ocean breeze. We even slept on the lanai a couple on nights...yes! This unit is right on the beach, so close the waves lull you to sleep at night. We also liked that it was a corner unit, makes the lanai much more open and comfortable. The inside of this unit has obviously been completely remodeled with Granite countertops and the works. NICE! When we go on vacation we want to stay somewhere nicer than our own house and this place definitely delivers that. Have fun on Maui! ”

A big part of this was the condo we stayed in; with it being so close to the ocean --- have not experienced this feeling of being so relaxed and excited. The view from the condo is Out of the World --- you can not describe the view. It gives you a feeling that you are staying right on the beach, but are high enough for security purposes. The condo has all of the extra' that you need to enjoy the water events and more. We liked the space and upgrades to the condo. The owner gave us a welcome gift that was much appreciated. The location of the condo is Outstanding. We enjoyed the strip mall near the condo and found Excellent places for food, plus stores. The condo is a few miles from a major shopping center, where they have the GREAT fish taco's. One thing that would make our stay better would be to put a PC in the room, so we could access the Internet. We talk about our trip all the time and REALLY look forward to going back in the near future. ”

To be honest, I hate to let the secret out - I better book my next trip soon! We travel alot and the little things in this condo are what make it even more special - a huge "thank you" to the owners - no worries about whether paper goods are there, the closet is full with beach accessories, every dish and kitchen tool is in the cupboard. The large, flat screen TV did not get turned on while we were there, I am afraid: I couldn't pull myself away from watching the whales from the lanai. I spent much time on the internet searching for the exact right place to stay, and I definately felt that I had found it. I would not be able to stay anywhere else on Maui. Have Fun and Live Aloha. ”

This was my 3rd time to the islands, and I've stayed in quite a few rental properties as opposed to hotels...Out of approx 10 properties, none could come close to this one. (And I must say, the new furniture in the unit is now even nicer than before!). Don't hesitate in considering renting this unit, as you won't find anything as nice, at such a reasonable rate. And the owners were wonderful too! See you in 2010 :0), only this time, I'll stay longer! ”

“ We stayed at the Maui Kai Room 301 and were just overwhelmed with the ever changing beauty just outside. The condo was very clean and well equipped. The beach is literally a few feet away and very quiet. The beach is not a classic swimming beach due to the rocks present. We experienced terrific sunsets and daily whale sightings. The condo is located in a great central location. All the owners and renters were very friendly making you feel right at home. Our pre-teenagers used the pool every night. If you are searching for a quiet retreat with a great view this is the place to be. ”

“ The Maui Kai is located not along the busy end of Lahaina but along a more sedate area designed to please those who wish to enjoy the quiet, relaxing on the beach, and a totally relaxed atmosphere. This does not mean that the opportunities for nightlife and more activities are excluded - you just have to look around. There is a multitude of information provided by the condo as well as by the condo owner and on-line. One item that failed to meet our expectations was the screened-in lanai. I must admit to my failure to notice the absence in the description. Love the bilateral ocean breezes, fabulous view, all amenities, clean. Had I not broken my arm in late Feb, this trip might have just been rated 100%. Truly a "God - Like place" on the planet! GREAT CONDO!!! ”

“ We recently enjoyed a 10-day stay at Maui Kai Beach Resort unit 206. When we arrived, the unit was in sparkling condition, including all promised amenities in excellent working condition and then some. A gift basket containing fresh local fruit and other goodies was an especially pleasant surprise. As promised, the location of this condo was ideal for beach and especially whale watching; we saw many whales every day from the comfort of our room. We even saw large sea turtles in the ocean right below our window a couple of times. The wall bed was comfortable, and it was nice to be able to put the bed away during the day, allowing us more space for other activities during the day. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed. The owners also provided a well-organized notebook with recommendations for local activities, restaurants, etc. The condo location is truly ocean front; from our room, we were often closer to the ocean than many people actually sitting on the beach next door. There is also a nice, paved "beachwalk" that starts one property south of the Maui Kai and goes all the way down to the south end of Kaanapali beach. This made it easy to walk to other parts of the beach for snorkeling and swimming and avoided parking headaches. The pool at the condo complex is small, but the spa is large and relaxing. The condo complex is nicely situated within easy walking distance of several grocery stores, a farmer's market, interesting shops and restaurants. This was our first visit to Maui, and we would not hesitate to stay at Maui Kai unit 206 again. ”

“ We can't say enough good things about our condo stay in September to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. The condo was updated, very clean and orderly, well organized and laid out and really made our stay most enjoyable. The new flat screen was an added bonus combined with all the movie rentals available downstairs. The Maui Kai really is the closest condo to the water in the Kaanapali Beach area and the staff, grounds, pool, and overall environment were all top notch. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for a quiet stay on Maui with all the beauty and local amenities that the Hyatt, Sheraton, and Ritz have to offer (at half the price). ”
