Amazing View in Comfortable Condo

Amazing unobstructed view of Bali Hai from both rooms, as pictured. Very comfortable condo, lovingly decorated, and appreciated the umbrellas and benches outside the door. There was a spell of rain and gloomy weather so we couldn't go out as much and didn't mind at... more all since the unit was great and the resort had other amenities (pool, tennis, restaurant). The beach is a bit of a trek but you can call for a cart to pick you up. The unit is on the top floor so requires climbing stairs and is towards the bottom of a hill so if you're not up for going up and down, it may not be the best unit for you. less

Awesome place, would stay here again. View was amazing and unobstructed of Hanalei Bay as shown in the pictures. Place was very clean and spacious. Hele on to Kauai!

Our family of three stayed here for a week away from the soggy Seattle winter. It was our first trip to Kauai, and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation or a better place to stay. The condo was more than we had hoped... more for: nicely furnished, plenty of room, comfortable, and an unbeatable view. The kitchen had everything we needed. Early in our trip, we visited a farmer's market in nearby Kilauea to stock up on delicious local produce (tree ripened papaya, apple bananas, etc.). What we didn't get there, we found at the Princeville grocery store. Our days started with leisurely breakfasts looking over Hanalei Bay, followed by a daily visit to some local beach. Then lunch, shave ice, and a return to the Hanalei Bay Resort to cool off in the amazing pool or a stroll around the beautiful grounds. We'd close with dinner out or, even better, homemade in the condo watching the sun set behind Bali Hai. The HBR staff was kind, and our 5 year-old son loved feeding the koi in the ponds near the front desk. We're eager to return! less

Great views of Hanalei Bay

Awesome place!

Me and my wife stayed here for the first half of our honeymoon. We were in love with the place and the view. Leaving this room was the worst part of the trip. If we make it back to Kauai we will stay here again.

Beautiful, well-maintained condo with stellar view

This was our sixth consecutive summer staying at Hanalei Bay Resort and we have become fairly picky about the condition and location of the condos we rent. During some of our stays, we've had to split our time between two different units so we've seen... more quite a few of the condos over the years. This condo stands out. It is well-stocked with kitchen, washing machine, beach and paper supplies and this makes a huge difference. It was very clean--the lovely birds who visit the lanais do make a mess and we've stayed in two Aloha Condos over the years--both of which stood out for having extremely clean lanais. We spend the majority of our time admiring the view and it is not pleasant to stand barefoot or lean on the railing of a dirty lanai. Speaking of the view, it is spectacular from this condo--you will see the mountains, Hanalei Bay, and plenty of rainbows. The condo itself is updated with beautiful tile floors, a lovely kitchen, comfortable beds, nice Hawaiian decor, etc. If I were to criticize anything, it would be that the living room furniture, while fitting in with the Hawaiian decor, is not very comfortable. Regardless, we would definitely rent this condo again. Finally, Aloha condos was very responsive and accommodating when we moved from another HBR condo into 4323 mid-trip. Memorable stay

The highlight or our 3 island 16 day first trip to Hawaii was our time in Kauai & unit 4323 at Hanalei Bay Resort. The condo was extremely comfortable for my family of 4. Paradise

My extended family just returned from a 10 day stay in Hawaii and half of it was spent on Kauai at the Hanalei Bay Resort. We were familiar with the resort when we booked, but the accommodations definitely surpassed our expectations. The resort is lovely... more - the grounds carefully maintained and the views are spectacular. The tennis courts are really nice and the staff at tennis center are very friendly. Front office staff and bellhops were very friendly and helpful at both check-in and check-out. The pool was great and never crowded. Having the ability to rent equipment there on the beach was convenient and easy. We rented a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and got good instructions and help for a very reasonable rate. It was a lot of fun and the Hanalei Bay area is perfect for paddleboarding since the water is calm and the Wailua River is very close. The beach at the resort really nice - small but plenty of room for those on it. Lots of reef so fun for kids to explore though it probably wasn't the best swimming beach. There are is also lots of shade options on the beach due to the trees. The unit we stayed it was really nice. Very updated with pretty furnishings. It was clean and well-appointed - everything you'd need in the kitchen to make meals there if you want. Plus lots of beach gear available for use - beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, cooler,... Hanalei Beach Resort is an idyllic place & we can't wait to return. We would definitely stay in unit 4323 again. less

Wonderful, gorgeous condo

We could not have been happier with this condo! The view is absolutely amazing and the location of the condo is perfect! It is very close to the beach path, the main pool, tennis courts, the fire pit, the Bbq area and the Happy Talk... more bar (which is great as well!) They have done a great job with using high end finishes and furnishings and have stocked it with anything you could need from beach chairs, coolers, and fins for snorkeling to an extremely well stocked kitchen! The loft area was perfect for the kids and it is very large so they had plenty of room to spread their things out. There is just one King bed though but my kids were fine with sharing it. The master bedroom is beautiful and also has an amazing view with sliding doors that ooen to the huge lanai. We plan on coming back to Kauai soon and will definitely work our schedule out so that we can get this condo again! I forgot to write in the guest book when we left and I felt so bad so I hope the owners see this and know how much their condo contributed to our wonderful trip! Thank you! less

Comfortable condo

The condo is situated in an ideal location on the resort property, perfect for sunsets. The entire place has been recently redone, so everything is new and clean. Bring your own condiments, as the refrigerator was empty when we checked in. The furniture on the... more lanai was very comfortable, so we spent a lot of time outside. Be warned about a couple of things, wear bug spray when outside, as I was bitten by many things when we stayed. Also, be ready to hear roosters crowing early in the AM...was not a fan. As for the resort pool/hot tub area, it was just OK. There was construction happening, so sitting by the pool was not very enjoyable for us. This is a large complex, so be ready to walk a lot from car to condo to beach. less

The perfect place to stay!

My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon. It was absolutely perfect! We really enjoyed waking up each morning to have coffee on the lanai and listen to the birds and waves. The view is stunning! There is such a nice quiet... more on this resort's property, you can't help but relax. The unit was great -- a well stocked kitchen, and lots of little odds and ends you usually don't find in such places. Very spacious, and an extremely comfortable bed. The smaller, quieter pool was just a few steps away, as was the path down to the beach. The resort itself was very nice as well, with helpful staff, beautiful grounds, amazing views, and did I mention great staff? The only drawback of our experience (and it is only temporary) is that the bar and restaurant were closed, so there was no poolside service or walking to dinner/breakfast. We managed just fine, as we could cook in our unit and make our own drinks! The folks at Aloha were also very accommodating. We would definitely come back. less

Such a great experience

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in Kauai at this condo. It was even prettier than the pictures. The bed was very soft and comfortable. There was a great welcome package (including Hawaiian chocolates) that really took care of all our immediate... more needs. They had really comfortable beach chairs, and amazing view, beach umbrella's, boogie boards.. and those were just a few of the things in the closet that we used. The resort is very pretty. NOT PLEASED !!!

Well this is probably not a review you will use on your web page. On first arrival to the resort we were surprised to see the on going construction and the absence of a restaurant and bar. ( there is nothing posted on either of... more the adds we found on VBRO or your web site ?) After reaching the condo we learned the AC was non-operational, there were numerous noisy floor fans running, climate in the unit was nearly unbearable ! Then I looked for a phone to call the front desk... never found one ? ( that is because there isn't one !) your add reads there is though, with free local calling ? Lastly in our opinion the entire resort is out dated the pool is almost dangerous, the bottom of the pool is way to rough on your feet, the lighting is poor at best, we could not even find the steps at night to get out, not sure how long the swim up bar has been in the current condition it's in, but that is a terrible eye sore. The only positive I can give you is the view of Hanalei Bay is fantastic. My family loved our 9 days in HBR unit 4323 and hope to return someday soon!

This unit is beautifully furnished with comfort in mind. The owners have put a lot of attention to details, and it really shows. We LOVED our breakfasts on the balcony, and our 9-yr-old daughters enjoyed early morning reading in the comfy chairs out there. Authentic Hawaii

Peaceful escape on the north shore of Kauai!

This condo was pretty much everything we were looking for. Check-in was easy, although it does make it a little more of a hassle since you cannot drive on property and you have to wait on the bellman to take you and your luggage to... more the condo. If you didn't have much luggage this wouldn't be a concern. The condo itself was very nice. The asian motif throughout the unit was nice, it was well equipped with any "toy" that we might need (snorkels, body boards, tennis rackets, etc...) and all of the appliances were top-notch. The north shore probably isn't the most convenient location if you want to tour the whole island, but it is definitely quieter and it's great if you want to escape the crowds. The view from the lanai is incredible - overlooking Hanalei Bay and directly at Bali Hai. Only drawback I can find with this unit is that you have to pay for internet service and it doesn't offer wifi. However, the resort does have free wifi in the pool area, so this wasn't that big of a deal for us. less

Excellent Vacation Spot

Marvelous

An awesome room with a view

This was an amazing condo. It is much more impressive in person than the pictures on the website. When you walk in , you are awe struck by the beautiful view of Hanelai Bay. The condo has a bar high table with 4 comfy bar... more stools on the lanai. We would sip our morning coffee, looking out at Hanelai Bay. One minute their was a light rain, and the next minute the sun was out and we were treated to a beautiful rainbow. This condo is totally updated I loved the beautiful granite kitchen with every convenience We stopped at Cosco, by the airport in Lihue {across from the mall} and stocked up on good wine, fish and steaks. We enjoyed grilling most nights and catching the sunsets as we ate dinner on the lanai. The pools were nice we enjoyed the circular pool, {very private} and at the large pool you could get grilled burgers from 11-2.We loved Hanelai Dolphin and one day picked up ahi and sushi to take back and enjoy on our lanai at sunset. Postcards and Mediteranean Gourmet are also good choices for dining out. We had a fun Saturday morning going to the farmers market in Hanelai {we loved Sal's salsa} .Their are great beaches, you can walk down to the beach at the resort,{if you are lugging alot beach cairs boogy boards, call for a tram to take you down to the beach, and you can call them to pick you up[ this beach is shared by the St Regis} The St Regis has a luau on Thursday nights and we enjoyed having a drink listening to great jazz and enjoying their spectacular view {that's on Sunday at 4} We did zip-lining at princeville ranch and that was a fun adventure. We can't wait to get back to this beautiful resort. less

Still paradise after 20 years.

We stayed at HBR for our 20th anniversary after having been there for our honeymoon. The view from this unit was everything we remembered it to be. Amazing!

This complex is great and the unit is even better! Great view from balconey and very spacious. The unit was very clean and comfortable. And the master bed is so comfortable. The pool is very nice. No downfalls for the unit.It is perfect. The only problems I could see would be for people who are elderly. The resort is very hilly and hard to walk. Also, if you want immediate beach access it is a little bit of a walk. We enjoyed the walk to the beach, there is some great scenery. Also, the hilly walking didn't bother us as we are active. I wouldn't let it defer you from staying here even if you don't like walking. They have people with golf carts that will take you anywhere you want to go. If you buy groceries you can call them and they will meet you at your car, help you load the groceries, drive to your unit, and help you carry them up. This place was great. Heavenly stay

Unit 4323 was beautiful; what a view! The unit is spacious and comfortable. It was tastefully furnished, and thoroughly appointed. The recently remodeled kitchen has everything you could possibly need, and more. The beach equipment was appreciated, as was the welcome tote bag. The tempurpedic... more bed in the main room is a luxury, especially when combined with the song birds and the view of the bay and mountains at sunrise. It is obvious that a lot of thoughtfulness and care was put into the accomodations. The location in the resort is great, not too far to walk to the car, and close to the main pool. I would gladly stay here again and again. The only downside to staying on the north side of the island is that it takes a long time to drive to the other side. Superb Condo, beautifully furnished

We just spend 5 wonderfull days and nights at your Condo 4323. This Condo is beautifully furnished and is in excellent conditions. Many thanks to the owners of this property! The kitchen is equipped with all you need - except a tea pot is missing... more - apparently tea is not the preferred drink on the island. We had stayed on Oahu, Hawaii, Maui and at last in Kauai. In total we were on the islands for almost 3 weeks - the stay at you place was the top. Great time with a kid

Hanalei Bay resort afforded us great views, a nice place to stay and wonderful time. The pool is great and the low-key pace was a plus. None of the stuffiness of the P'ville, but also don't expect luxury bathrooms, etc. The unit was attractively furnished,... more with a decent kitchen, beach toys, and great teak lanai chairs. HBR/Bali Hai Restaurant being closed during our stay and the prohibition on getting drinks by the pool were our only complaints. Breathtaking View

We stayed at Hanalei Bay Resort condo #4323 (Oct 2008) after being upgraded (moved) from a smaller lock off room due to being informed that both the restaurant and lounge had been closed.This was our honeymoon after being married days previous at the Grand Hyatt... more Kauai south shore which we stayed for the week. Let me start by saying we are not condo people or had not considered being the type before our stay. We arrived at night and were amazed at the quality and decor of the condo and touched by a welcome basket filled with goodies and wine. In the morning I opened the shades and literally gasped at the most breathtaking view I had ever seen. The picture from the website does not do it justice, the view is AMAZING. The condo owners thought of everything from snorkel gear to candles every detail they included was so nice. We had a wonderful honeymoon and fell in love with the north shore! When you envision Hawaii this is it!!! We did have some issues with the dishwasher and drain in the bath but the condo was getting an overhaul the day after we left. Advice: 1. beautiful condo

We spent an amazing week at the Hanalei Bay Resort condo 4323 in Princeville, HI. The condo was clean and very tastefully decorated. The views from both the main lanai and the master bedroom lanai were breathtaking. Having a full kitchen was so nice; we... more bought fresh produce at the farmer's market a short distance from the condo, as well as fresh fish from the two local fish markets. We enjoyed many meals out on the lanai. Not only did we have a gorgeous view of the Hanalei Bay but also a view of Bali Hi and the waterfalls coming down from the mountain. We also enjoyed the short drive to several beautiful beaches. Our only disappointment was the fact that the Bali Hi Restaurant and Tiki Lounge were both closed for remodeling at the time of our stay. Wonderful views...

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this condo. The views from the lanai were spectacular. The the condo was tastefully decorated and comfortable. It was worth every penny! My only regret... I wish we would have stayed longer!!!

Beautiful Condo & Resort!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at HBR in #4323. The owners have put much effort and care into their condo.; it is beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable, well equipped, well maintained and very clean. We enjoy cooking, and the kitchen had everything we... more needed (and more) to prepare meals. The BBQ centre was very convenient to the condo. Eating on the lanai was wonderful with the incredible views. The beautiful lanai furniture was one of the many highlights of this condo, with raised table/chairs to maximize the view, and comfy lounge chairs. The in-unit washer/dryer was nice to have, although for those renting a studio unit, there is a laundry facility just a few steps from this building. The king size bed was very comfortable. Both the living room and bedroom had a full wall of windows/patio doors to take in the magnificent views of the bay and Bali Hai. In all of our travels I don't think I've stayed anywhere with a view as beautiful as this! The owners have thought of just about everything for guests' enjoyment, with boogie boards, beach mats, umbrellas, cooler, etc. The resort itself is very nice ... beautiful landscaping/gardens, impressive & large free form pool with waterfalls, and nice lobby where the Happy Talk Lounge is. There are 8 tennis courts spread out throughout the resort. The walk to the beach down the paved path takes about 5 minutes .... it's a bit of a workout coming up, but we liked the exercise, and for those who want a ride, there is a call-box at the bottom to call for a shuttle to the top. Can't wait to go back! less
